Hello Cycling Community! Welcome to my blog. Today, I woke up early in the morning to haunt different Cycles in our Housing Society. I got success in this planing and was able to capture about 10 different types of bicycles. Hence, I have decided to relate all of them with Bicycle History. This post will be very interesting for you if you want to know about Cycle History as well as I will introduce you some types of Cycles present in Pakistan. I 'm glad to see that people still respect their cycle when they have most modern types of motor bikes even in this era. After invention of Wheel, it was first machine for which people had showed their biggest craze.

What is Bicycle?

It is the machine whose paddles are run by rider's feet. It is the most cheapest vehicle for traveling short distance. Although I have witnessed some people who moved to Saudi Arabia for performing Hujj On their Bicycles.

Bicycle History

Although Bicycle History is full of disputed statements and dates about its invention but I shall try my best to share some information that are most verified. The very first author named Leonardo Da Vinci Von Drais who made sketch for Bicycle in his Codex Altanticus in 1492. First time in history, two wheeled propelled machine was invented by Baron Karl of Germany who named it Laufmaschine. He not only invented but also rode it for 14 Kilometers by making a record in 1817. He also demonstrated it in Paris in this year. This machine was made of Wood and the rider was riding it by paddling on the ground while sitting on its seat. Years later, Dennis Johnson from London purchased Laufmaschine and reinvented his model called Pedestrian Curricle in 1818. His invention was good for smooth roads only due to health problems. Although Von Drais and Johansson were unable to make a good two wheeled machine but still their name should be taken in golden words in History of Cycles because they were the first predecessors. Next fourth years, three and four wheeled machine named Velocipedes were discovered to resolve the issues of weight balance during paddling. It is said two wheeled machine with rear treadles drives were invented in early 1840. Kirkpatrick Macmillan, a famous blacksmith from Dumfriesshire is linked with it. He travelled 40 Miles towards Glasgow in 1842 but it's documentation has many disputes. Gavin Dalzell of Lesmahagow rediscovered this machine in mid 1842 and did many ridings on it for many years. It was two wheeled machine with iron rims. The rider's feet swung it back and forth by paddling on treadles. The word bicycle came into use in 1868 and it has replaced velocipede. New York has the first cycling paper and it brought craze in Americans for cycling. Many people bought new manufactured bicycles till 1868 although it was not more advanced. In 1870, bicycle technology came into existence. The wooden technology changed into ordinary bicycle made of rims, steeled forks , rubber wheels, frames and bearings. It's design was more similar to the following cycle.

I made two rounds in the housing Society and I was able to capture about 10 different cycles with different designs. After 18th Century, Cycling was a craze sports and many companies took interest in its manufacturing. I found one very simple bicycle with sky colored paint.

This bicycle attracted my camera a lot. Hence, I captured it.

My real Cycling Hunting started when I moved into the park where I found different classes of Bicycles. As inflation is high hence people like to drive their cycles for short distance either they are in good or in bad condition.

I love cycling a lot. It is very evident from this, everywhere I did my best to order new bicycle from a well known cycle company in Pakistan. Currently, I have three different cycles with three different designs. I have shared my Cycling Experience with my yellow bicycle here as well.

This bicycle is my favorite one. During my Cycling Hunting, it was my source of driving. I was not only enjoying cycling on it but also photography as well. When I returned home, I was happy to see my red and Blue Bicycles as well. Unfortunately, they both are not working well and I need to visit Mechanic for their renovation.
