One Old Family Tradition
Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. One week of last month has been finished and we have just three weeks to enjoy 2023. For these three weeks, I have seen that some of my Christians fellows are more busy now in making preparations for coming events Like Christmas and family traditions. Our Government is decorating Lahore with different colored-Lights to celebrate Christmas with our Christian Pakistanis.
Why is December so important for my Family?
Every year, we arranged voting for the new head of the family. All the good and bad decisions are taken by the head of the family including family fights, weddings, family expenditures for poor members. My Father is working in Suadi Arabia. His company gives him leaves two times in a year. When the month of December came, our wait for his visit started and he arranges this voting desk in our house. Yesterday, I called to him, he will land on coming Sunday. For this purpose, my siblings and my mother all are making special preparation for this event. The month of December is known to be the most busiest month for our family.
House Decorations
From today, I helped my mother in cleaning of the house. There are three portions so we have finished just one portion. I ordered for all house paintings to painters. There will be new paints on the walls and different colored-Lights will be illuminated. These are some special preparations in December, we are doing.
Family Gathering
On coming Sunday, our all family members will gathered again. They talk about voting with the current head of the family. Previous head was my uncle. He performed very well in his family responsibilities. Now, it is time to gather family again for new head for the coming new year. All members nominate their new head by raising their hands in favor for elected head. I left my others duties and my main focus is on this event. I hope, we shall show better performance in this family tradition.
Family Hospitality
On this event, we cooked special dishes. My mother prepared ten different dishes including vegetables, beef, chicken, fish and sweets. Everyone enjoyed this family dinner after voting. In this regard, I 'm happy to buy new stuffs needed for these dishes.
Conclusion
Families traditions and rites are very important to me. There are still many people who are strict in tradition. Although, I 'm living in modern City but I respect our family traditions. Around the year, we have many family rites and I do my best to celebrate and rejoice all of them. There should one head in each family who will do decisions about the fate of the family. Although, it looked old rite but I have seen that families whose heads are strong make good progress and earned good name in the Society. In December, we have Family voting that is our tradition followed by us and our forefathers. Even, the situations is good or bad, we never compromised on this event. It provides us pleasure as well as family gathering that is amazing for us.

Here in this side of the world, the older ones in the family select a person, a man, who will be the head of the family. But they don't change until their demise then, a new person is chosen. It is usually the oldest and most responsible.
I agree with you that it might be or sound like old rite but the role of a head of a whole family still matters. Plus, a better leader equally makes the whole family prosper more.
Family gathering is so beautiful, cheering and amazing.
Some traditions fluctuate from region to region and country to country. Here, family people gathered to elect one head having some characters like Intelligent, Rich and helping. They calculate this score from the previous actions of the head. Thank you for visiting 😊

Wait wait wait.... Voting for the head of family 🤔. I still didn't get it. Naturally father is the head of family. Then why voting system comes from? I still didn't get the idea.
December is the time family gathering occurs and it's the thing I like most. In fact, because if it, December is beautiful.

For example, there are families with different castes like Bhutta family, Rajpoot family etc. They vote for their heads and gather on the page.
That's a lot of activities for your family in this month, I love the hospitality part more, it's always said to be fun having more people around.

Of course, our family is busy doing everything for our good fame. We should gather not only for selecting a new head but also for hospitality.
This is actually new to him, hearing about families voting for who to be the head because over here, we just automatically give it to the oldest person in the room 😅😂.
