Z Project Ep.3 (ENG/ITA)

Hello everyone and welcome to the third appointment of "Z Project" in this project I am working to make the miniatures to be used in the Zombicide board game. In the previous article I showed you the 3D printed miniatures that I created, purchased and received from Hero Forge, which is the service I chose to create these miniatures. In the last article the miniatures have been carefully analyzed and refined, cleaning them from small imperfections caused by 3D printing. Today I show you one of the funniest phases, but certainly the most difficult, that is the one in which the miniatures are painted by hand. The tools I use are: white spray can to be used as a base color for the miniature, brushes with small tips, paints, spray can with protective enamel.

The process begins by fixing the miniature on a stand, then using the white spray I paint the entire miniature evenly and evenly. Below I show you the miniature in this first step.

After the white paint is dry, I move on to the next step or start painting the miniature by hand. I mainly those large surfaces and those they leave behind. Only then do I paint the smallest parts and the most particular details. Below I show you the first stages of the hand-painted miniature.

The last phase involves the coloring of the miniature in all its parts, even the smallest. Once the miniature is dry and the colors adhere well to the surface, I go to color all the inlets and indentations, creating shadows and a dirty effect. Finally, with the glossy spray I cover the entire miniature with a layer of protective glossy paint. Immediately after, the miniature is dry and finished. Here I show you the finished miniature in various angles.

I am very happy with the result. The next step will be to create the various cards for each character, which are fundamental in the game.

Ciao a tutti e benvenuti al terzo appuntamento di "Z Project" in questo progetto sto lavorando per realizzare le miniature da utilizzare nel gioco da tavola Zombicide. Nel precedente articolo vi ho mostrato le miniature stampate in 3D che ho creato, acquistato e ricevuto da Hero Forge, ovvero il servizio che ho scelto per creare queste miniature. Nello scorso articolo le miniature sono state attentamente analizzate e rifinite, pulendole da piccole imperfezioni causate dalla stampa 3D. Oggi vi mostro una delle fasi più divertenti, ma sicuramente la fase più difficile, ovvero la fase in cui le miniature vengono dipinte a mano. Gli strumenti da me utilizzati sono: bomboletta spray bianca da utilizzare come colore base per la miniatura, pennelli con punte di piccole dimensioni, colori, bomboletta spry con lucido protettivo.

La lavorazione inizia fissando la miniatura su un supporto, successivamente grazie allo spry bianco pitturo tutta la miniatura in maniera omogenea e uniforme. Qui di seguito vi mostro la miniatura in questo primo passaggio.

Dopo che la vernice bianca è asciutta passo alla fase successiva ovvero inizio a dipingere a mano la miniatura. Io per prima cosa coloro le grosse superfici e quelle che rimangono dietro. Solo successivamente coloro le parti più piccole e i dettagli più particolari. Qui di seguito vi mostro le prime fasi della miniatura dipinta a mano.

L'ultima fase prevede la colorazione della miniatura in tutte le sue parti anche quello più piccole. Una volta che la miniatura è asciutta e i colori aderiscono bene alla superficie, vado a colorare tutte le insenature e rientranze creando delle ombre ed un effetto sporco. Infine con lo spry lucido ricopro tutta la miniatura con uno strato di vernice lucida protettiva. Poco dopo la miniatura è asciutta e ultimata. Qui di segui vi mostro la miniatura ultimata in varie angolazioni.

Sono molto soddisfatto del risultato ottenuto. Il passaggio successivo sarà quello di creare le varie schede per ogni personaggio, schede che sono fondamentali nel gioco.
