Noktah Merah Perkawinan : Marriage Is Not For Everyone
This is a movie that just aired in cinemas, but unfortunately, this movie seems to be sinking because it can't compete with other movies. It's really a shame, a good movie like this is not much in demand by many people. One of the reasons why this film is unable to compete, maybe in terms of the cast who are less loved by young people, even though the actors are top actors/actresses who have no doubts about their acting skills. But unfortunately, the public's appetite for good movies has been eroded by a very absurd hype.
This time I want to talk about a movie that I think is mandatory to watch and is the best movie this year. Noktah Merah Perkawinan, adapted from the soap opera that aired in 1996, was played by Ayu Azhari and Cok Simbara. This movie is able to adapt the soap opera which has 77 episodes into a movie with a duration of 1 hour 59 minutes.
Tells the story of a family life that was originally very harmonious, loved each other and eventually had 2 children. Gilang and Ambar who slowly feel that their marriage is on the verge of collapse, endless conflicts, hurt each other. Their marriage is fractured and it is difficult to put them back together. Will Ambar and Gilang divorce? Or will they unite? Watch in theaters soon!!
This movie was very well adapted from soap operas which at that time were loved by many Indonesian people. It has been re-aired on television several times, I also watched it when I was 6 years old.
This soap opera is actually only for adults, not because there are vulgar scenes, it's a pity that there are no vulgar scenes at all, but rather a plot that tells of a family relationship that is on the verge of collapse, how could it be watched by children, right? So, at that time I could only watch from behind the wall and peek at my mother watching tv. So, the existence of this movie made me reminisce about the past when I was 6 years old, a child who was not satisfied with the spectacle behind the walls. So, I was really excited when this movie was shown.
Almost all viewers who watch this movie are 30 to 50 years old, it seems that this movie is less loved by young people because they feel that this movie must be very boring. But clearly, this movie contains a lot of simple messages about living a household.
Pros and Cons
Undoubtedly, this film is very strong in the script, plot, and acting of the actors. Watching this movie, I was like a flashback to the Parasite movie, in seeing the side of delivering a deep message that was shown in a very slick scene. Even though this movie is just an adaptation, it has something fresh in the film industry in the midst of many Indonesian films which are very boring.
I like the role of the cast who are extraordinary, for example, Ambar played by Marsya Timoti and Gilang played by Oka Antara. They are very good with acting skills that have many hours of flying and experience, able to convey the emotions of this movie.
This movie makes me cry slowly with the various conflicts shown from the scene, the problems that arise one by one and finally reach the finish, making us take part in the movie. Acting, plot, and scoring that can take the audience to fly and be blown away within 2 hours in the cinema.
At the beginning of watching this movie, I didn't understand at all about the conflict that happened to the husband and wife, until I finally found out that the cause of the breakdown of their marriage was not an affair, but the two families of Ambar and Gilang who broke the harmony of their household. wake up with love and affection.
This movie is able to give a message to the audience about marriage which is shown from various scenes that are taken and presented. For example, how at the beginning they wanted to form a beautiful garden, but in the end the garden behind their house looked destroyed and messy, not according to the plan. Shows that the marriage must have a well-designed plan, but what happens is only the failure of the plan.
The second example is the pottery made by Ambar (Ambar is a pottery artist), who pushes his pottery to break and fall apart, not having the shape of the pottery he wants it to be. However, it turned out that the broken pottery was finally rearranged even more beautifully than he had wanted. Showing the message that at first Ambar was skeptical that their marriage would fall apart like the pottery, glued back together would not be whole, but in fact if it was made better it would be much more beautiful from the outside.
