Prambanan Exhibition Center, Yogyakarta

This bright afternoon makes my feet very comfortable walking wherever I want to go. Yogyakarta is very unique, like wanting to walk here and there and tirelessly, almost every corner is fun and missed. That's why many people say Yogyakarta is one of the cities in Indonesia that must be visited.

If you think like that, I agree with the sentence above. Yogyakarta is truly unique and fun because I've been there. I proved it by being there for a week and going wherever I wanted. Like to one of the best places around the Prambanan Temple area, an exhibition center that you must visit this time.

For the first time, I saw this place strong with the culture and traditions of the people of Yogyakarta. The exhibition center is very thick with Javanese culture, as evidenced by its building which is modeled after the traditional Yogyakarta house, namely Joglo. Joglo is like this, an open place with a wooden foundation and protects anyone who is under it.

The philosophy of Joglo is like a shady tree, same like to a banyan tree. We can take shelter from the rain and heat, but we cannot protect ourselves from the strong winds. It will be very cold when there is no protection like a wall.

Joglo houses are like that, that's why they are unique, but they will accommodate many people in them. Joglo can be a place to meet and express opinions, like a house to generate ideas. However, one of the best things about making a Joglo house is that the wood used is very strong, made of the best teak wood. That's what makes a Joglo house timeless.

In this Exhibition Center, there are many things that can be sources of information, including several headless statues from Prambanan Temple. The reason is to be better maintained and avoid the threat of destruction by irresponsible people. So it was moved to this place. So don't be surprised to see several headless statues lined up in the large yard. Of course, all of them are valuable statues of gods and Buddha.

In the joglo house, there are many gamelan musical instruments. Here, it is exhibited how the form of the gamelan musical instrument is often played by the Javanese people as a traditional music performance. There are many kinds of gamelan music that will then create a pleasant music to listen to and also rich in artwork. Gamelan has different music from many traditional music in Indonesia. I like it the most when an iron drum is hit and makes a very loud and strong sound.

This exhibition center is very spacious, there is even a fish pond as a divider between the joglo house and the yard. Very beautiful. This afternoon is also very beautiful with bright sunshine, even the weather today is very good for walking around the city of Yogyakarta.

See you the next time hive friends!
