When we were kids, why did we like ice cream? Surely you have an ice cream flavor that you like, and so do I. Ice cream is an entertainment, when we are sad, whether it's because of losing a toy, parting with a playmate, or after falling because of running while playing. Ice cream is the most powerful sweetener to cure sick feelings.

I still remember very much, stuck in my childhood memory, that I really like everything about ice cream. My mom really likes to buy me ice cream when she feels I've done something good, like cleaning my room or when I get good grades and achievements on exams. Indeed, ice cream has never disappointed me.

You know that ice cream is a food that makes dopamine work very well, ice cream is a damper for emotions and anger. Not only that, ice cream really works when summer arrives, ice cream is a remedy for headaches due to the heat of the sun.

Recalling the past, I was reminded of a memory when I was still in elementary school. I went to school near my house at that time, the simple reason was that it was easy for my mother to pick me up, or the distance between school and home was very close so I didn't have to pay for the bus to go home or go to school. The school was very unfit, naturally, because I was not accepted by any school because I was not old enough, but my ability was very decent to go to school at that time.

At that school, there is a small shop where students shop for snacks and drinks. I still remember clearly, the seller really likes to sell homemade snacks, such as opaque chips with satay sauce, bakwan, lepat, ice Lilin, and also rainbow ice gabus. There are two snacks that are my favorite, they are opak with satay sauce and also rainbow ice gabus. You know, those two are the things I look forward to when the recess bell rings.

At this moment, the weather is very hot, it looks like summer has arrived, it's time to do many activities, including making food that is suitable for reducing heat from outside, such as ice cream. Because I remember my childhood, I really want to feel again how the rainbow ice gabus that I used to buy at school used to taste.

Rainbow ice gabus is ice made with simple ingredients, the main basic ingredient is hunkwe flour which is made from skinless mung beans. Usually, this flour is easy to get at traditional markets, a pack can make a lot of rainbow ice gabus, you can even share it with neighbors and relatives.
