Hello everyone,
My husband and I finally decided to move to my in-laws' house the next time I was pregnant. Because I have to have total bed rest and have to be monitored 24 hours a day, so we will have to leave the house that we have bought for 1 year. However, there is a problem we have to resolve before that, my husband's room is not livable enough. The walls of the room are starting to crumble and dust flakes from the peeling walls can harm breathing.

So a month before we decorated the room, our regular builder hired to repair the walls. The builder said, if you want to paint the walls you have to wait until the walls are dry and it takes up to 1 month. Finally a month has passed since the wall was repaired and we bought a suitable paint for the wall.

My husband's room is right next to the bathroom that is commonly used by everyone in this house, the bathroom is quite large and affects the walls of the room. So we bought a paint that is suitable for indoor walls that are prone to moisture. Purchased 5 liters of primer and 5 liters of indoor paint. Everything is enough for a room measuring 3x3m with a wall height of 4 meters. The total price for the paint is 300,000 rupiah.

Apart from that, I also bought vinyl flooring to bring this room back to life. The boredom of seeing the tiled floor made me want to change the atmosphere. In addition, I will also replace the mattress that has been damaged. We plan to use a 160x200 mattress without a divan, meaning the bed will be on the floor. This room really won't fit if the bed uses a divan. So to keep the mattress from being easily damaged, I will overwrite the floor with a vinyl floor that is easy to install.

I bought vinyl flooring a long time ago, due to hunting for discounts in the marketplace. I bought a vinyl with a size of 91.5cm x 15.2cm thick 2mm at a price of 8,188 rupiah. I need 58 pieces of vinyl flooring for a 3x3m room. The total price for the vinyl floor is 497,904 rupiah, quite cheap for room decoration so that it looks more modern and comfortable.

I didn't use a builder to install the vinyl flooring, I did it with my husband alone all day long. As well as painting the walls, we did everything slowly until it was finally finished this Friday.

Besides that, I also made my own curtains and bed linen. To make both I just used the fabric left over from the existing stitches. As a tailor for curtains and bed linen, I used leftover patchwork that was fit for purpose. For all this I did not spend money. It's just that I bought a thin blanket for 78,800 at a discount at that time.

Changing a room that is so dull and not worth living is so time, effort and money draining. But the results were not in vain. So, I will move when the time comes, at least we can use this room if we want to stay at my in-laws' house.

Thanks to @dswigle for #marketfriday community and have a nice friday!

See you the next time hive friends!

I hope you reply in English so that everyone understands. I deliberately chose a light color so that this room has good lighting.

thanks for stopping by :)

The room is beautiful! What a great job you both did and I loved how it turned out! You really surprised me as it looks so professionally done! You really have the right touch!!

Thank you so much for sharing your makeover with us.

BTW you could easily put a bedframe on the bed to elevate it off the floor, if you want. I am sure it would fit nicely.like this:

I want to thank you for being a part of the #MarketFriday Challenge. I have personally found there is always so much to learn about people, where they live, and how things are done in different parts of the world. For me, reaching out across the globe and learning about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, has been such a rewarding experience. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the rituals, festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... and what is normal for us? There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. We do differ in many ways, which makes us interesting and unique, but, there are many ways in which are so much alike.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive or cheap? Did it go up or down? Please do not post 30 pictures with no words about them.Do not use pictures more than once in a post!
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess on some
    4. #MarketFriday must be your first tag.
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
    5. PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  4. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
