Sardine Sambal With Stew Spinach Onions Recipe

How are you guys today? I hope you are always healthy! I'm also here in good condition, even though the government has been very busy making new regulations related to the omicron variation of the covid virus that is spreading in our beloved hemisphere. Even though we have just entered a new year, and omicron, too, is starting to enter our country again.

You know, today's weather conditions in my area are very strange. This morning it was clear that the sun had come without shame, shining on my morning when I was about to water the plants in the yard. I haven't watered my plants in a long time, almost a week, because I was too busy and forgot to give my plants water, some of them withered, luckily it didn't threaten the life of my plants.

Because the weather this morning was a bit hot, I immediately took a water hose and sprayed all the plants that I had. But an hour later, dark clouds came and poured rainwater on the earth's surface. Looks like my job watering the plants this morning was in vain. But that's okay, plants are best watered with rain water because it has a lot of nutrients for all plants.

Luckily before the rain, I had shopped at a shop near my house. The shop provides some fish and vegetables for household needs. I bought 250 gr of very fresh sardines. Seen on the gills of the fish are still red and fresh eyes. Those are my tips for buying fresh and good quality fish.

Then I plan to make the sardines with red chili sauce. I also have a little spinach that I keep in the refrigerator, just boil it a little. I plan to make simple dishes, because I will be doing a lot of other activities this Sunday. For me, Sunday is the busiest day I've always had. Because I have to deep clean the house. Ingredients for Sardine Fish Sauce with Boiled Spinach:

Sarden Fish Sauce:

  • 250 gr sardines
  • 100 gr red chili
  • 2 green chilies
  • 5 cloves of red onion
  • 1 tomato
  • Coriander Powder
  • 1 lime
  • Pinch of salt and sugar
  • The oil for frying


Spinach Stew:

  • Spinach that has been picked leaves
  • 350 ml of water
  • 3 cloves of red onion, thinly sliced
  • A little oil for frying
  • Pinch of salt

How to Cook Sardine Fish Sauce with Spinach Stew:

  • Clean the sardines, remove the gills and entrails of the fish, wash thoroughly with running water. Then drain, give lime juice, half a teaspoon of salt and coriander powder. Marinate for 5 minutes.

  • Heat oil on a non-stick wok pan, once hot, add sardines and fry until dry. Remove from wokpan and drain

  • Puree red chilies, onions and tomatoes. After mashing, heat the oil again on the wok pan.

  • After the oil is hot, add the crushed chilies. Give a little salt and sugar, add green chilies that have been sliced ​​thin.

  • Remove when the onion is golden brown.

  • Put 350 ml of water into the pot, boil the water. After the water boils, add the spinach and leave for 2 minutes until wilted. Put it in a bowl and add a little salt. Then put the fried onions on top.
