Last year, there was a film that was shown on an online cinema platform, which was directed by Tompi and the script was written by Imam Darto. This film got many pros and cons from many circles at that time, so I think this film deserves to be written as my point of view about this film.

This film raises a lot of questions, is this film worth watching? The film with the title "Finished" stars many famous Indonesian actors such as Gading Marten, Ariel Tatum, Anya Geraldine, Tika Pangabean, Marini Soerjosomarno and Farish Nahdi. This film provides a different perspective on a marriage. Adapted from married life and the other side of infidelity. Gives a plot twist at the end of the film which I think is very different from many films that tell the same thing.

Likewise with the acting of the players which in my opinion were not too disappointing but also not special, in the end this is also what makes this film ordinary compared to the news in the media at that time. A little disappointed with the echo of the reviews out there, so to get a true rating of this film, you have to watch it for yourself.

One of the strengths of the Selesai film is the interesting composition of the picture, and the soft colors dominate the entire film, all the pictures in the film are able to tell a story without having to have a script. Build an ambiance from lighting, image layout and scoring that is able to bring the audience into the film. The film is also made in only one or two closed locations, most of the scenes being in a house or a room.

Each picture is able to bring the emotions of the audience that is brought by the cast or characters and feels very interesting. Especially for those of you who like infidelity films, this film will bring our hearts and minds torn apart due to the presence of a very beautiful Anya Geraldine as Broto's mistress whose acting makes us angry.

Here again reminds me of Anya Geraldine's acting in the Layangan Putus series which got the attention of Indonesian citizens. Anya Geraldine has always been able to be an affair figure who brings our emotions to the maximum level.

A little disappointed with Ariel Tatum's acting which made him excited, this time Ariel Tatum came back after a long hiatus from the world of cinema. But even a little disappointed with the acting is too slow. Is it possible that the character created by the director is like that?

However, most disappointed with the script and story of this film. At the beginning to the middle of the story, it was very well made and seemed to be structurally built, but unfortunately, in the middle of the story until the ending in this film made me disappointed, the story which was a bit absurd and seemed contrived made me very disappointed. Even though it feels like this film is able to make a big record and is very qualified to be accepted as a very good film.

The ending of this film is very floating and doesn't deserve to be called a 'film' because I think it is suitable to be made as a television film that is usually broadcast on TV stations, the conclusion given is very plot twist, but not a good plot twist, but very bad.

That's why, as I said before, this film is too high-pitched but it turns out to be just a mediocre film, without a deep impression. It seems that the scriptwriter and director have to look in the mirror if they want to make the next film.

Sexism Issue

This film actually has many good narrations to raise the story of infidelity that may often occur and be relevant in society. The issue of sexism and narratives that corner women are values ​​that can be taken from this film.

The affair between Anya and Broto puts Broto and Ayu's marriage in a difficult situation. As a wife, Ayu is very tired of her dishonest marriage and wants a divorce, but is blocked by her mother-in-law who suddenly comes to live with them. Ayu also looks more and more pathetic and suffering every day during her marriage. Ayu suffers the consequences of someone else's mistake, namely her own husband.

Gradually eventually their marriage could not be restored as before, in fact infidelity often occurred and suspicions began to get real evidence that her husband was guilty.

But this is where the sharp criticism comes from, that when Ayu finally blamed Anya for destroying their marriage, Ayu said swearing at Anya as the usurper of her husband. Even though Ayu should blame Broto for everything that happened to her affair, if only Broto was committed to his marriage, then the affair would certainly not happen.

In this film, again and again, women are blamed, being the main seducer and the reason a husband finally chooses to have an affair. Whereas the main reason men cheat can be from many things. In the case of Broto and Ayu's marriage, Broto is tired of having a dominant wife so he chooses to be unfaithful.

Again, women are blamed for women's desire to be themselves. Ayu's character as a wife who leads the household and has her own stand is the cause of a broken household. Shouldn't women have control over their household? Being obedient and always under your husband in order to get full love?

On the other hand, Ayu is considered a sexual object by the driver himself. A driver and girlfriend of the helper at Ayu's house. Ayu is described as an attractive and sexy and elegant woman, so that Bambang the driver is tempted and aroused as an outlet for his sexual desires. Can lust take away respect for women and as sexual objects?

One more thing, Ayu has to suffer throughout the story and she can't make a decision because of many factors that hinder her, including Broto. Ayu's desire to divorce is blocked by Broto. Ayu as his mother's ideal daughter-in-law, makes Broto afraid of hurting his mother's heart if he divorces Ayu. So Broto can't take that risk.

Being a victim of a broken household, Broto blames himself and calls Ayu the cause of the rift in their household. The heartache, self-esteem and emotional violence must be borne by Ayu alone and cause mental health problems for Ayu.

The issue of mental health disorders raised in Ayu is seen as 'crazy' and not as an educational or informative issue. Making this film makes a lot of holes because this film is not really finished in the end.
