Starting My Day with Coffee For 1.5 Cents

This morning is really different from usual, I only do this every Sunday morning, where my husband and I do strenuous activities like cardio. We ran from the house in the morning to downtown Medan, wanting to enjoy a car free day in our city. Every Sunday morning, the streets are closed from Kesawan Square, Fort Square and Merdeka Square. These three points are indeed designated to be temporarily closed by the government to be sterile from motorized vehicles. This is a government effort to make people able to exercise on holidays.

This is our third week of doing this activity, a very useful routine, apart from maintaining health and fitness by exercising cardio, my husband and I are bonding by telling a lot about anything we want to talk about. A very romantic activity in the midst of profuse sweat. I started to realize that this activity should be done by a husband and wife, not only for sports on the bed, but especially for running in the morning which is very good in my spare time.

This morning it turned out that the downtown point was starting to be enlivened by people who were very enthusiastic about doing sports, starting from gymnastics, running, jogging and other cardio. Apart from that, there were lots of SMEs selling to take commercial opportunities. There are those who sell food and drinks that can be enjoyed for breakfast, there are also several merchants who sell thrifting goods which turn out to be in great demand by many people, besides that there are also air soft gun rental services, roller skates and several bicycles that can be rented at low prices .

However, after running 5 km, at 07.30am to be precise, we noticed something was different where we ran, right in front of the post office, we saw an event from Bank Indonesia promoting the use of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). a technology that can be used to pay for goods or services online, that's actually the same as fast payments that can be used in Indonesia.

So, they do a lot of events, one of which is a flash sale buying using QRIS with 2023 rupiah (or 1.5 cents) to buy food and drinks at the merchants that have been provided. This is a promo that can't be missed. Lots of merchants selling several types of food and drinks as a nice breakfast.

One of them was buying a glass of warm palm sugar milk coffee, which I bought for only 1.5 cents, usually it's sold for 2 dollars. Quite tempting for me who really likes coffee in the morning. Coffee is best enjoyed in the morning, especially for those who like cardio or weight lifting, because there is caffeine that will help boost your enthusiasm to do those tiring activities. Coffee is my go-to for weight lifting usually, without using energy drinks which I don't know what impact it has on the body, so I prefer coffee or tea.

Well, I know this Baraka coffee shop, usually like to sell near my house. Very typical with selling coffee around in a very mobile car. Baraka is one of the pioneers of traveling coffee in the city of Medan. I believe in the taste of coffee from Baraka. Indeed, during the flash sale, they only provide 1 type of menu, namely coffee with palm milk, made with real palm sugar which tastes delicious, duhhh I'm so addicted to this coffee.

This morning, even though I did cardio, came home with a load of food. I brought some for my sister and parents at home, there was so much food that I bought to enjoy for breakfast. Of course this won't pay for the energy I spent running this morning. however, this activity is exciting in helping SMEs to increase profits and the wheel of the people's economy which is currently gloomy.
