Hello everyone and community,
Wat Hua Lamphong, is one of the large and magnificent temples located in downtown Bangkok. This temple is a royal temple that has been built for a long time, becoming one of the temples that you can visit if you are on vacation in Bangkok. While in Thailand, I did spend time moving from place to place to visit many temples, I was always curious about people's daily activities in religion.

This temple is one of my favorite temples, because there are so many public transportation access to go to the Wat Hua Lamphong temple, you can take the BTS, KRL and public buses. Interestingly, this temple is a temple that is very close to the settlement, next to several buildings or apartments in the vicinity, even so this temple is easy to find. The main gate looks big and very clear, but many are covered by vendors selling street food. The main gate is quite large with enchanting Thai carvings. There are 5 small towers that are above the gate with gold color and terraced, as many as 7 levels.

Once inside, you will feel a different sensation, this temple is so fragrant, aromatic like a blend of various citrus, lavender and lemongrass scents. Immediately I realized, there were several large shelves filled with various colors and shapes of candles, they sell candles for special rituals, different colors have different uses, unfortunately I can't read the writing because it's in Thai.

Before entering the building called CHEDI, I went around to see some Buddha statues, here there are lots of Buddha statues with various forms of gods, these statues are engraved with a touch of gold.

Then I headed inside the chedi, I saw that there was a white iron rod, I was curious about it, then I approached the iron which turned out to be a tubular lamp shaped like a beam of light from all directions. It looks like it will be very interesting at night, the lights will emit light and decorate the shrine.

As usual, the chedi is on the top floor, I climbed the stairs which are made of very sturdy granite, almost all the temple buildings in the city of Bangkok are very handsome with the highest quality granite. After climbing the stairs, I saw the city of Bangkok from a height, saw a variety of very tall office buildings, several flagpoles with the flag of Thailand.
I was standing right in front of the Wat Hua Lamphong chedi, from this angle I saw how magnificent this temple was, even though it was invisible from underneath the chedi, covered with various tents and curtains from below. This afternoon is very hot, I can see this temple very clearly, coupled with the architecture created by God, namely the blue sky and lots of white clouds. Chedi Wat Hua Lamphong looks very tall, so magnificent is this temple, surely this temple also used a lot of money.

After that, I entered into the chedi, saw some people praying and doing rituals. I was surprised when I entered the room, saw the contents of the room and the luxurious design, with the dominant red and gold colors. I will start discussing from the roof ceiling which is decorated in red with gold accents. The ceiling is made of material such as velvet, looks like a red carpet with gold lining, as well as luxurious decorative lights. The lamp gave off a golden color which added to the expensive feel of the room, I don't understand what philosophy they were showing, but this impression was extremely luxurious. Like being in a royal castle room.

With a design like that, there are different vibes from other rooms, when you enter, you will feel amazed and sacred. The number of decorative lights hung in various balanced spots makes this room so warm. Moreover, the mixture of gold and red does feel warm, but not like it's burning, in fact it feels very cold and soft.

The walls of this room are also filled with various Buddhist paintings, adorning the walls of the chedi like telling stories. Like literature engraved with paintings that can speak. Not only that, the floor is also made of ceramic which is like a symbol, colored dark grey, black and gold, there are also symbols forming a circle with white colors like yin and yang. Here there are no big statues like at Wat Pho, but there is a golden Buddha statue in the courtyard.

What was really different from other temples I had visited, I saw rows of chairs that were very neat, shiny purple in color, made of embossed silk, like the basic material for traditional Thai clothes. Shiny purple accents coupled with gold-painted wood and carved teak wood, make this chair very luxurious, as if it were only used for monks or royalty. Not for use by the general public.

After seeing the contents of the Wat Hua Lamphong temple and chedi, I finally went home feeling very happy. Seeing the luxurious Wat Hua Lamphong and having a good experience, it's a nice trip. By the way, one of the facts is that Wat Hua Lamphong also has a special building as a crematorium and monks' residence, but it's not for the public, so I couldn't go in and get photos. Hopefully this post is useful for you, Hivers!

See you the next time hive friends!

That's right, it looks like a royal palace, maybe because this temple was made by the kingdom during the time of King Rama IV.

What I really love about the architecture of temples are the intricacy of the architectural detailing. The detailing is a prayer on its own. By the way, I enjoyed this piece. Keep sharing!

I understand why Thailand is so exotic with its customs and culture, because every detail of the temples and all the architecture in this country is always related to Thai culture.

I think it is how Thai people express thier culture and heritage that everything is a canvas for it.

The gods sculptures here look very different from the gods sculptures found in our country. Murals on the walls and ceilings of the buildings inside the temples in Thailand give a more attractive look and the lights from the lamps hanging on the ceiling increase the brightness

Oh aren't the statues of gods all over the world the same? It is interesting indeed about the temple architecture in Thailand, it is very typical with the Thai concept, because almost all of the temples have royal intervention.
