Back to telling about my journey while in the city of Bangkok, Thailand. It doesn't take long by plane if you want to go to the city of Bangkok from the city of Medan, Indonesia. With only 2 hours of travel from Medan to Bangkok by plane, we can have a short vacation abroad.

I don't know why I like to go to Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand instead of having to travel around Indonesia, maybe one of them is cheap airplane tickets to other countries instead of having to go to other provinces in Indonesia. Ticket prices are very expensive for domestic flights, so I finally decided to just go to Thailand at that time.

In the end I went on an adventure in the cities of Bangkok and Phuket, found thrilling experiences, one of which was exploring without using English, because Thai people have little respect for foreign languages. Interestingly it makes me always get lost and find new places, like my trip this time.

This is a unique experience when you really want to visit Sathorn Unique Tower, a 49-level building that is phenomenal in the city of Bangkok. But I got lost because I got on the wrong bus and was taken around the city of Bangkok (again) by the bus driver. It was very difficult to communicate well with the people of Bangkok, I was dropped off by the conductor at one of the big temples, due to my great patience, I found an interesting place, even this was one of the exciting experiences while in Bangkok.

I was at Wat Yannawa, is a large temple built by the Thai government during King Rama III. Wat Yannawa is one of several major temples in the city of Bangkok, this temple was built during the heyday of the Ayuttaya kingdom, before the founding of the kingdom of Siam or Bangkok. What's unique is that this temple was built like a Chinese ship, indeed there is a history of why it was made to resemble a ship. Instead of me coming to Sathorn Unique Tower, I just saw the building from afar, right at this Wat Yannawa temple. There was a feeling of wanting to be angry with the bus driver, that it wasn't even a few meters away that I would arrive at my destination. But that's okay, Wat Yannawa has also been very impressive to me.

To enter the temple, we have to pass through a very large entry gate, like in most temples in Thailand, the accents are terraced roofs with Thai carvings. Guarded by several security in front of the gate, we can enter with polite clothes.

If I tell you about my experience at Wat Yannawa, when it was raining, I could still enjoy the raindrops while looking at the huge ship-shaped temple. This temple has various buildings around it, used according to their function. The highlight of this temple is the ship-shaped building. Located right in the middle of the temple, standing very firmly, painted in yellow and white, in the middle there is a minor chedi with a flag.

Not only that, on the front there is a statue of King Rama III standing upright with layered stairs. The statue looks very sturdy with a dark color that attracts attention. He said, this temple building was built on land which was a gift from the rich people of Thailand at that time.

Wat Yannawa is a temple that can be used as an attractive destination for those who are or want to explore the city of Bangkok, Thailand. There is no entry fee for Wat Yannawa, besides that access to this temple is also not difficult. You can use the bus, sky train or BTS and get off at Saphan Taksin. Wat Yannawa is also close to Sathorn Unique Tower, about 200-300 meters from Wat Yannawa, to try a horror tourist destination in an eerie 49-level building.

So, are you interested in going to Wat Yannawa?

See you the next time hive friends!
