When Children's Education Becomes Parents Prestige
To be honest, it's not because the series or drama has a high rating, it's even viral so you can watch a drama, no guys, no, its because the drama/serial has its own magnetic power, it's clear that there is a great value why it's worth watching regardless of a rating.
I watched this drama 2 years ago, but it turns out the hype is still quite high, I finally rewatched it, okay than most intros, I'll give a brief review, SKY CASTLE.
Again, I'm not a hardcore Korean drama fan, but for some reason I'm interested in this drama/series and just shift some of my favorite Korean dramas like The World of Married and Goblin. The Korean drama Sky Castel, which tells the story of 4 rich families in South Korea and they have one problem in common, which is their ambition to send their children to the number one university in South Korea.
In the beginning, the premise is a bit ridiculous, but it's quite relatable, especially the satire of the richest of the richest, the premise is quite relevant for anyone who lives in South Korea these days. Yes, it's a bit different if you compare the concept of life in Indonesia.
This drama has plus and minus points from me, well let's discuss;
My expectations were not so high at the beginning, if it was limited to discussing children's education competitions, it would quickly get boring, but apparently not, this drama which is thick with thrilled and dark comedy is quite impressive, without forcing myself to finish quickly and go straight to the core of the conflict, this execution slightly reduces points, later we will discuss the negative points.
Still a matter of premise and plot, from a teenage romance at school, sky castle offers a different story angle, ambition between parents and children's education targets which once again executes it very well. Then with the lineup of players who are very crazy, but with rich and complex material. Each strong character, no matter because they tend to like which family character, all are equally good. But if asked to choose one actor, credit goes to Han Seo Jin.
Now going to the minus points, this could be different for you.
Sky castle, with such a rich story I have to give 2 thumbs up, but unfortunately, I'm having issues with duration. The problem is that you are forced to demand that this drama has a longer duration than it should, which even though it can be even more concise, is like walking which should be 10 minutes away, but forcing yourself to go around looking for complicated roads even though the goal remains the same. Then I don't like the ending of this drama/series.
In fact, it's perfectly legal for a drama/serial to leave a big hole, so that the audience can cover the hole with their own story imagination. However, because the duration of this drama is so long that we as viewers who are willing to spend time watching 20 episodes, do not get a conclusion that can be completed properly, in fact after the ending of this drama chapter, we can only say, OH IS THAT? It's not the climax that leaves such a meaningful impression.
In the end, sky castle deserves to be the prima donna until now, maybe it's different for those who only watched the first 2 to 3 episodes of this drama and immediately finished using the skip per episode method, surely their opinions could be different, so watch it until the end, provided you have a lot of time to spend this drama alone, as many as 20 episodes which per episode has a duration of 1 hour. And conclude how worthy this drama or series to watch.
