People who reincarnate in different bodies - Infinite [ENG/ESP]

It has not happened to you that when you are dreaming you feel that dream as real as if you were reliving a memory, well, let me tell you that I do not. I recently saw a movie with a simple premise but that leaves the door open to create a very good story in the hands of whoever knows how to tell it. Infinite is a movie based on "The Reincarnationist Papers" a book that explores the lives of people who reincarnate in different bodies and are part of a secret society. I don't think I'm wrong about the book that way but for now let's go with the movie.
The movie is about Evan McCauley who is a reincarnation of Heinrich Treadway, and who has no knowledge of those memories because they were diagnosed with "schizophrenia". Evan must remember his past lives to stop Bathurst, the villain of this story, who wants to destroy all existence with an artifact called the Egg. From the beginning we are explained the concept of the "Infinites", people with the ability to reincarnate in another body, and that there are two sides in this universe, one in charge of fighting for humanity and the other for trying to destroy it, I will not tell you the name of these groups, since they are only mentioned once in the film and then no more importance is given to them.
Our first minutes in this movie are in Mexico City in the middle of a chase and where right off the bat we get a small impression of who the good guys are, the "protagonist" who is being chased by the police manages to reach a bridge under construction and makes a jump towards a crane that was in front of the bridge, given the implausibility of the scene I was expecting more things like this in the movie.
But don't worry that all that happens and it seems that it was a dream of the protagonist, Evan McCauley, who has to go to a job interview, let's see, I had already seen Mark Wahlberg in Transformers and doing this kind of characters in the movies fit him well but here in Infinite as he does not know what is happening around him and all his life he thought he had schizophrenia constantly has to put a face of not knowing anything and be limited to what they tell him.
The whole part where we meet Evan McCauley is relatively normal, except for the fact that he forges a sword in I don't know what place, after getting out of a conflict with the people who sell him the pills for his illness he is arrested and then interrogated by Bathurst, the villain, who knows that Treadway reincarnated in Evan, at this point in the film we start to have certain little things that seem a little weird but given the circumstances of the plot I can let them pass a little overlooked.
The action scenes in the movie are great, they are normal enough to be fictional and entertaining at the same time. Nora's entrance in the car to look for Evan was a little over the top but accompanied by an escape from the presentation comparison was great and more passable. After all the introduction to who they really are and the sides waging war we have the classic search for the true self, this part is where they do everything they can to make Evan remember who Treadway really is and they can find the Egg which is the artifact capable of destroying all life.
In these sequences we see how little by little Treadway is emerging in Evan's body and these scenes serve to show a little more about the last moments of Treadway's past life. The final act of the film left me a little doubtful, if it wasn't for the type of story it is I would say they went a little overboard with the fiction in the film, the final battle between Nora's infiltration of the Bathurst base to the fight on the plane are the second best scenes in the entire film, I say that because my favorite scenes are the ones in Treadway's past life.
Infinite is a good movie, it is entertaining, has a good plot and good rhythm, it does not become slow at any time and everything they show on screen is justified although it has certain things that I do not quite understand how they happen. The negative point of the movie is that the past life shown at the beginning seems to me more interesting than the plot they made for the movie, not that I say it is bad, on the contrary, but the past life of Treadway managed to generate more expectations than the Evan, it was a little cliché but entertaining. My recommendation is to see it, really, you don't lose anything by doing so and you get a good dose of fiction.

No les ha pasado que cuando están soñando siente ese sueño tan real como si estuviesen reviviendo un recuerdo, pues déjame decirte que a mí no. Hace poco vi una película con una premisa un poco simple pero que deja la puerta abierta para crear una historia muy buena en mano de quién sepa cómo contarla. Infinite es una película basada en “The Reincarnationist Papers” un libro que en su historia exploremos las vidas de personas que reencarnan en diferentes cuerpos y forman parte de una sociedad secreta. No creo que me esté equivocando eso sobre el libro de esa forma pero por ahora vallamos con la película.
La película va sobre Evan McCauley que es una reencarnación de Heinrich Treadway, y quién no posee conocimiento sobre esos recuerdos porque los diagnosticaron con “esquizofrenia”. Evan deberá recordar sus vidas pasadas para detener a Bathurst, el villano de esta historia, que quiere destruir toda la existencia con un artefacto llamado el Huevo. Desde el inicio nos explican el concepto de los “Infinitos”, personas con la capacidad de reencarnar en otro cuerpo, y que hay dos bandos en este universo, uno encargado de luchar por la humanidad y otro por tratar de destruirla, no les diré el nombre de estos grupos, puesto que solo se mencionan una sola vez en la película y luego no se le da más importancia.
Nuestro primeros minutos en esta película son en la Ciudad de México en medio de una persecución y donde de buenas a primeras tenemos una pequeña impresión de quienes son los buenos, el “protagonista” que está siendo perseguido por la policía logra llegar a un puente en construcción y hace un salto hacía grúa que estaba en frente del puente, dada la inverosimilitud de la escena ya me esperaba más cosas como estas en la película.
Pero no se preocupen que todo eso pasa y parece ser que era un sueño del protagonista, Evan McCauley, quien tiene que ir a una entrevista de trabajo, a ver, ya había visto a Mark Wahlberg en Transformers y hacer este tipo de personajes en el cine le quedan bien pero aquí en Infinite como no sabe lo que está pasando a su alrededor y toda su vida creyó que tenía esquizofrenia constantemente tiene que colocar cara de no saber nada y estar limitado a lo que le dicen.
Toda la parte en la conocemos a Evan McCauley está relativamente normal, excepto por el hecho de que forja una espada en no sé qué lugar, luego de salir de un conflicto con las personas que le venden las pastillas para su enfermedad es arrestado y luego es interrogado por Bathurst, el villano, el cual sabe que Treadway reencarno en Evan, en este punto de la película empezamos a tener ciertas cositas que parecen un raras pero que dada las circunstancias de la trama puedo dejarlas pasar un poco por alto.
Las escenas de acción en la película son geniales, son los suficientemente normales para ser ficticias y entretener al mismo tiempo. La entrada de Nora en el auto para buscar a Evan fue un poco subida de tono pero acompañada de un escape de a comparación de presentación estuvo genial y más pasable. Luego de toda la introducción a lo son ellos realmente y los bandos que librando la guerra tenemos la clásica búsqueda del verdadero ser, esta parte es donde hacen todo lo posible para que Evan recuerde que es Treadway en realidad y puedan encontrar el Huevo que es el artefacto capaz de destruir toda la vida.
En estas secuencias vemos como poco a poco Treadway va surgiendo en el cuerpo de Evan y estas escenas sirven para mostrar un poco más sobre los últimos momentos de la vida pasada de Treadway. El acto final de la película me dejo un poco de duda, si no fuera por el tipo de historia que es diría que se pasaron un poco con la ficción en la película, la batalla final entre la infiltración de Nora en la base de Bathurst hasta la pelea en el avión son las segundas mejores escenas en toda la película, digo eso porque mis escenas favoritas son las de la vida pasada de Treadway.
Infinite es una buena película, es entretenida, tiene una buena trama y buen ritmo, no se vuelve lenta en ningún momento y todo lo que muestran en pantalla está justificado aunque tiene ciertas cosas que no termino de entender cómo pasan. El punto negativo de la película es que la vida pasada que muestra al principio me parece más interesante que la trama que hicieron para la película, no es que diga que es mala, al contrario, pero la vida pasada de Treadway logró generarme más expectativas que la Evan, se me hizo un poco cliché pero entretenida. Mi recomendación es que la vean, de verdad, no pierden nada haciéndolo y así se llevan una buena dosis de ficción.
