Ahoy! The Día de Muertos event in Pokémon GO started on November 1st at 10 am local time and ended this November 2nd at 8 pm local time. Certain Pokémon that fit the theme of this holiday were appearing more in the wild and on Incense and Lures. I hope you were able to check these out on Niantic's Pokémon GO blog. Several bonuses were also active. For example Incense lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes instead of an hour.

I personally didn't have much time to play during this event. So I didn't have a post during the event especially with it being a short event.

This event featured a Collection Challenge. It required catching all of the Pokémon that were spawning more in the wild for the event except for Yamask.

All of these from the Collection Challenge and Yamask that were spawning more in the wild were also attracted to Incense and Lure. With Incense and Lure also attracting Alolan Marowak. As I didn't get to play much, I barely got any Alolan Marowak this event. But it's fine as I do already have that one Shiny and have a 100% IV too.

The encounter reward for completing the Collection Challenge was a Shedinja. Mine was quite bad IVs being a 2*.

This November 2nd the weekly Spotlight Hour featured Cacnea. I walked around during it and caught several Cacnea. Then I decided to trade it with a friend until we got a Lucky as we didn't have it Lucky in the Pokédex yet. Between 10-20 trades and we had ourselves a Lucky Cacnea.

I evolved the Lucky Cacnea to Lucky Cacturne right after to have it in the Pokédex. Here is the Pokédex entry for both as well after the Spotlight Hour.
