Being an hiver is not just about making a random post and hoping to get an upvote, but it involves being in a family or community that's ready to accept your stories and where you can share your story, and also ready to support you, build with you and like a personal support group.

People have different aspects they are good at some are finances and economic growth, NFTs, cryptocurrency, trade and investment, sharing or writing stories and advertising their business, and so many more.

Recently, I also got to know that hive is a coin, that you can buy or invest on it and me being ignorant have failed to notice the chat at the right-hand side of my laptop from ecency, and the data is displayed by coingecko.
Lol!

Hive comes or represents itself in different ways to people.

  1. It can be a diary
  2. A personal therapy section
  3. A support group
  4. A guide
  5. A place to learn and improve oneself
  6. A place to earn
  7. A working space etc.

It can be whatever you want it to be and it has brought people together we have seen people meet up on discord and also hold hive meet and greets, interviews, hangouts, etc. So it's more than just random posts.

Earlier today I read a comment from @erikah which says:

The most precious thing you can have in here is your reputation and I'm not talking about the number next to your name.
hiveeeeee.jpeg
And it's true. Reputation isn't just about the number, but it's about trust, friendship, love, and your originality. These are the basics of what serves as reputation before your number or score.

Through Hive, I have got to learn a lot and understand a lot from financial posts; places traveled to, food, stories, and experience, and also get to know one life's story with every detail as time goes. So this is what it means to be in a hive, educate, communicate, display and share.

One can be an hiver at the comfort of their home without the stress of waking as early as 6 am, finding what to wear for the day, checking if you have enough transport to move, will today be a long or short day, will the manger be nice? That's the basic struggle of working 9-5 which is my struggles.

After getting to know about hive, suddenly what I have was a job and a company. Yeah, that's what I call hive, my company. Now the issue is how to do I balance my 12 times a year salary earning job and the company which I control and earn from my comfort zone daily. Getting to work is already stressful as it gets. After all, I get to wake up early and sleep late, because I got less time working on my company during the day and I have to make sure I work in my company at night before sleeping.

I know it’s not all about the money, but at the same time, it’s about the money. One can earn his/basic salary within weeks by just using your brain and good content can be either personal or imaginative contents.

Lately, I made a daily routine to enable me to interact in the hive community and balance my work activities. The routine looks simple and at the same time looks difficult but I try my best to manage it.

hiveeeeee.jpeg

ROUTINE

Table

ActivityTime
Resume work8:45-9am
Hive9am-10am
Work activities10am - 1pm
My break/Hive1pm - 1:30pm
Work Activities1:30pm - 5pm

From 5 pm the battle of getting home starts, trying not to miss the 5:20 pm bus or it will be difficult having to wait for extra 30mins for another one.

And trust me, on my way home the only thing I do is engage in posts, read stories in the hive communities and learn other things especially the cryptocurrency aspects that am not too versatile with, which I learn from Leofinance and move down to hot topics on ecency to get new and exciting adventure or cool stories.

Maintaining this routine is not an easy feat because when you think you will be less busy in the next 5 mins and then BOOM! More work staring at you in the face. Especially when you have to deal with staff that is not computer literate, you have to explain everything, even to the point of how to make a letter bold on Microsoft Excel.

The busy part of the day is when I get to analyze money spent, inflow, and outflow and this can really take a lot of time and even take my break too making me miss out on hive.

Decision on what to take or make has been running through my mind lately because I don't make much to take home at the end of the month or take care of my basic needs that I will even consider to be the work advantage and distance too is another barrier.

Earlier this I wrote on a post where hive has increased my academic prowess and gained more knowledge, Hive has made me more of a reader than I ever was and has expanded my thinking ability, not just thinking but also spellings, good grammar and punctuations.

Some popular communities that I can think of, communities like Leofinance, ecency, OCD, proofofbrain, the ink well, hiveblopomo, freewriters, etc. they are so many communities supporting Hivers and believe it or not every content or posts have its community.

The decision for me is not difficult, left for me I choose Hive for 9-5 jobs any time, any day and stop the yes ma’am, Yes sir response. But the issue is how I tell my parents that I quit my job or the job I searched for to get and I want to focus my time in Hive. Like how do I explain or break it down for them when I get to visit them or when I call them. Lol!

I know some will say I have to man up and choosing Hive is a better choice and decision, they will understand later. Well you didn’t grow up in an African home with an African parent, so it easier said than done.

Please you can drop an advice for me on the comment section on what to do and Thanks for your time and for reading.

I would run hive as an adjunct until it begins to pay significant dividend. The most income I have made online was with eBay, but hive has real potential too. I am here to teach when I can, and to have fun.

Usually those looking to hive for income, don't have much fun....

Don't push so hard you burn out. Find an area you have special knowledge of, and write on that. Work to explain to your reader how to do it, so they understand.

Quality, not quantity is most important. Six average posts a day will make less than one well written post will. A regular series of good posts will bring people to you blog regularly. Then you will win, and hive does too; because content is the life blood of a block chain.

Totally agree!!! 🤝

Quality, not quantity is most important.

This is what some fail to understand, not about how many you posts but the quality of it, for to readers to understand and relate with you

Long posts with multiple references are difficult to write, but they get good response. OCD in a good place to post. I like the pew and photography; but informationwar is my favorite.

Stay away from the bots, with the exception of dustsweeper. They can cause problems.

Then...have fun!

Dustsweeper is a must, transfer a buck there and they will make you some on low income posts.

Find a tag you like, and wrote to that tag directly!

How does dustsweeper really work?

You delegate some credit to the bot, and if you have a post that makes too small an amount to post, they upvote it to where it will post. They add a little of your own money, too pick up the small amount that wouldn't have come to your account at all.

When the money is all returned to you, just delegate more.

🤠😁🤕👍

Works well, takes time; but I have seen no negatives. I have made about 35 dollars with this bot...and they did all the work!

That's so cool. will give it a try, is it a particular bot or just a random bot. can you recommend any?

Just dustsweeper, most bots are questionable. The only other bot that is interesting is the haiku bot, IMHO.

Hive should be fun!
