Private or public recognition? Or does it depend on the situation?

This question is somehow tricky to me because sometimes we can’t control our emotions and we can’t predict when we play. I can either choose private recognition and end up getting the public recognition and can either choose the public recognition and not get it the way I want but at the same time it all depends on the type of scenario we find ourselves in that can help determine the outcome.

In cases like helping someone we can choose to make it a private recognition but it all depends on the situation. For example, if you help a beggar/stranger on the way you can get a private recognition from him/her but now let’s add a what-if situation, what if someone captures the moment and it goes viral and then you start getting the public recognition, what will you do then?

At the same time, what if you helped someone or created something and you wanted it public but it didn’t go as planned and even though you made it public on media you still didn’t get the recognition, it’s just between you and God, what will you do then?

For example, there was a time I made a statement on Twitter during the Covid-19 era where someone made a statement saying it’s good to clean your surroundings regularly, wash your hands with soap and water and etc. then I commented saying “they should also remember to wash the head of the tap with soap and rinse properly because they might have used the contaminated hand to open the tap and after washing their hands they might also carry it back without realizing they used the same hand to open the tap” that was it.

This sound like common sense to some but not others might know about it. However, as an introverted person, I wanted recognition for it because then I thought about it hard and I wanted more attention to it, not to myself but to help others too I just got a few likes and about 3 retweets but I wanted more public recognition and I didn’t get it so it all depends on the situation and trust me if another person with a verified account or thousands of followers made the same tweet, it will blow up.

So having a private recognition all depends on the situation and it’s also by choice too but sometimes your choice can become unnecessary and you get the opposite of it.
