So let’s see what we do know about Satoshi Nakamoto

The name domain name Bitcoin was first registered by an unknown individual in August 2008, in that same year October 2008, an author who is said to be Satoshi Nakamoto published a whitepaper on Bitcoin explaining how it will function or work, in the explanation was Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system. The following year, the very first version of the Bitcoin network was officially launched and mined.

Satoshi Nakamoto engaged in discussion with the users of Bitcointalk .org in November 2009 and December 2010 and the forum’s posts and contents were always the targets of users trying and analyzing and hoping to get a glimpse or an insight on who Satoshi Nakamoto really is.

In 2010 Satoshi Nakamoto gave total control of Bitcoin’s source to a software developer named Gavin Andresen and an email was also said to have been sent stating that he has moved to other things and it’s in good hands. After that email, there was no move or activity from Satoshi Nakamoto.

In 2019, a speculation was going about stating that a Japanese-American man was the Bitcoin creator after Satoshi Nakamoto went silent but the speculation was quickly disapproved. The mystery is still on about why the Bitcoin wallet associated with Satoshi Nakamoto has not been accessed and the funds in them have not been touched since the year 2019.

Speculations on whether he was a good or bad creator/inventor
There have been different hypotheses over the years after he went silent and one of the hypotheses was Satoshi Nakamoto decided to let Bitcoin go so that he can develop another coin on its own.

Another is that Satoshi Nakamoto was in on the money alone, to take it and continue maintaining its private and peaceful life because it’s estimated that Satoshi Nakamoto owns about 1 million bitcoins which could be worth over $40 billion in today’s current value. But crypto experts have called all hypotheses a hoax.

Clues got on who Satoshi Nakamoto is

Like earlier said, they have been many theories on who Satoshi Nakamoto really is and nobody has been able to reveal the real identity.
The trick about the name is, it was never spelled in Japanese Kanji characters thereby making it difficult to get a clear translation of what the name could mean. So some clues on however translating the name ere;
Reason, Justice, Clear Thinking, or even Logic

Some even went ahead in concluding that Nakamoto is referred to the use of British English linguistic quirks and spellings and also referenced it to The times in the Genesis block concluded that the only possible origin is British.

The evidence Wired Magazine had referenced on cryptocurrency paper that Craig Steven Wright has published on his blog months before the Bitcoin whitepaper even circulated and also leaked emails that were referencing peer-to-peer ledger being distributed.

Aside from the evidence of wired magazine, Craig Steven Wright also claims he is the sole creator of Bitcoin but hasn’t been able to provide proof or evidence to the public.

Nick Szabo: Nick Szabo is an American scientist who actually coined the term smart contracts and has similar writing styles with the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto. So being accused of being Satoshi Nakamoto is expected but he denied the claim of being Nakamoto.

Hal Finney: Hal Finney is a software developer and a cryptographer and he’s also the first person to ever receive Bitcoin because he interacted with Satoshi Nakamoto regularly on the bitcointalk .org. And he said to be the person close enough to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto because he died in 2014, and some claim that’s the reason Satoshi Nakamoto Bitcoin remained intact.

I for some reason feel the success of bitcoin has been aided by this secrecy. Or we could have been hearing of the bad news that happened to its maker

That's possible too but nobody can tell, there hasn't been any news on his appearance or identity for years, he might still be directly involved too but that's still a mystery

There's always a mystery behind every success story, maybe if his face is known, people might criticize the system.

I think they would, knowing that one man has 100 or so bitcoins won't be so good, especially if he lives a flamboyant lifestyle. He can also easily affect the price by selling.

That too is valid... But so many people are already living the flamboyant lifestyle and they own a lot of bitcoins too and you can't really tell who has a lot of bitcoin except it has been disclosed (I guess).. because they might have hardware wallet. So anybody can satoshi nakamoto, I might be wrong but that's what I think though @b0s

You're correct, but somewhere in your article you said it is believed Satoshi has more than 100 million bitcoin, so I'm saying if that's the case, if he sells a lot at once it's going to be a serious problem.

So anybody can be satoshi nakamoto,

Yeah this is correct. He may not even have access to his keys anymore, or he may not be one person
