[ENG/ESP] Ham and Smoked Chorizo Sandwich, Served With Chocolate Drink/ Sándwich De Jamón y Chorizo Ahumado., Acompañado Con Bebida De Chocolate
Today's dinner was fast food style. I confess myself a fan of junk food, in fact in my college years I worked in a food truck specializing in fast food in high demand in the street of hunger in the city of Merida, Venezuela, where I am from, and although they gave us to choose any of the dishes on the menu for our dinner, I did not get bored of that kind of food. And at the time of quitting, believe me I reconsidered several times because I would have to give up my daily dinner as well. If you wonder how much weight I gained, well, nothing, I had a privileged metabolism that totally changed when I met my mother-in-law. But that's another story I'll tell you another time. I know our dinner sandwich doesn't compare to those succulent Pepitos, Matadores and Hamburgers we used to make at the food truck, but it has its own unique touch, which is mine.
La cena de hoy fue al estilo comida rápida. Me confieso fanático de la comida chatarra, de hecho en mis años de universitario trabajé en un food truck especialista en comida rápida muy demandada en la calle del hambre de la ciudad de Mérida, Venezuela, de donde soy, y a pesar de que nos daban a elegir cualquiera de los platos del menú para nuestra cena, no llegué a aburrirme de ese tipo de comida. Y al momento de renunciar, créanme que lo reconsideré varias veces porque tendría que renunciar también a mi cena diaria. Si se preguntan cuánto gané de peso, pues nada, tenía un metabolismo privilegiado que cambió totalmente cuando conocí a mi suegra. Pero esa es otra historia que les contaré en otra ocasión. Sé que el sándwich de nuestra cena no se compara con aquellos suculentos Pepitos, Matadores y Hamburguesas que hacíamos en el food truck, pero tiene su toque único, ósea el mío.
Ingredients:
Sliced bread, the one you like, I used white because it was the one I had at home.
Sliced smoked ham.
Sliced tomatoes to taste.
Tomato sauce.
Mayonnaise.
Smoked chorizo.
All quantities are according to the number of guests.
Ingredientes:
Pan de molde, el de su gusto, yo utilicé blanco porque era el que tenía en casa.
Jamón ahumado en rodajas.
Tomates en rodajas al gusto.
Salsa de tomate.
Mayonesa.
Chorizo ahumado.
Todas las cantidades son según la cantidad de comensales.
Preparation:
Place a teaspoon of tomato sauce and a teaspoon of mayonnaise and spread it on both slices of bread.
Preparación: Colocar una cucharadita de salsa de tomate y una de mayonesa y esparcirla en ambas rebanadas de pan.
Place the ham in a hot frying pan and let it brown a little and place it on a slice of bread spread with sauce, add the tomato slices and close with another slice of bread.
Aparte colocar el jamón en una sartén caliente y dejar dorar un poco y colocarlo sobre una rebanada de pan untado de salsa, agregar las rodajas de tomate y cerrar con otra rebanada de pan.
Place again in the pan and let the bread toast. Separately, place the smoked chorizo cut in small cubes in the frying pan and let it brown. Serve with the sandwiches. I accompanied my sandwiches with a delicious hot chocolate.
Colocar nuevamente en la sartén y dejar tostar el pan. Aparte colocar el chorizo ahumado cortado en cubos pequeños en la sartén y dejar dorar. Servir junto a los sandwichs. Acompañé mis sandwichs con un delicioso chocolate caliente.
My dinner was incredible, there are flavors and aromas that transport us to other places and times and these sandwiches, although very simple, tasted like good memories, and that is priceless. Greetings hivers.
