Mass indoctrination Day 11

Good day everyone. Trust we are doing great. All glory to God for making it possible for us to hear His words. Am Sis Atuma Hope and am doing this post to share my lessons from the mass indoctrination Day 11.

From the teaching,we learnt that there are things God has left for us to make decisions and bound ourselves to fulfilling them. An example of such things to be done willingly is making of vow. In the book of Numbers 30:2, there we saw that once someone makes a vow or promise, such a person must fulfill or keep to the vow or promise made. Therefore a vow is a self made obligation which must be fulfilled. A vow is something wonderful and you can make a vow if you want a special favor from God. Once a true believer has the fear of God, such a believer should bound herself or himself to the vow or promise they have made as written in the book of Ecclesiastes 5:4-5; for it's better not to make vow than to make vow and not keep to it.

We also learnt that in the Church contributions or offerings are not to be imposed or dictated to the members rather giving contributions or offerings should be according to what is decided in the hearts of members. It should be voluntary on like some churches that have a specific percentage of the members income as their contributions or offerings jush as it is written in the book of 2 Corinthians 9:7. In the time of the Israelites tithing was a commandment but not in this current time (1Corin. 16:1-2).

From the teaching,we also saw that contributions in the house of God is very important. The Church needs finance to carry out her operations, finances to pay bills like rent, get the necessary instruments and render help to brethren who are in need but these should not be a enough reasons to make contributions and offerings compulsory. The contribution in the Church are been used to propagate the Gospel. The sacrifice of praise is Thanksgiving which is the fruit of our lips as written in the book of Hebrews 13:15-16 and should be done voluntarily. Praising God together with doing good to our fellow men and giving voluntary contributions/offerings go together. Although God has command us to always be thankful to Him ( Col. 3:15). We should acknowledge our indebtedness to God and give thanks to God for everything ( 1 Thess. 5:18).

Thanks for reading through. Also want to us this opportunity to invite everyone to be part of our study. God bless us all.

Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
