Long time no see, my lovely watch

Can’t really recall the last time that I wear my watch on wrist, probably it was 3 or 4 years ago. You know, everyone got a smart phone on hand now which can check not only the time, weather but also sending instant message to everyone all over the world, watch really became not a necessary stuff in our life now.

I still keeping the watch at home anyway because this is the gift that my wife bought for my birthday present in our 1st anniversary of dating, not marriage. It means the watch has been accompanying me for more than a decade, how can I throw it away or sell it, right?

Since I kept traveling between Hong Kong and Shenzhen in mainland China these years, it’s hard for me to remember where did I put the certain stuff. Say, I would though the watch is at my home in Shenzhen while I am in Hong Kong, and though the watch is at my home in Hong Kong while I am in Shenzhen.

It really takes time to find the thing that I can’t remember where did I put, when I can’t immediately find the thing I wanted, probably I am forced to give up as it’s probably not at the home I am staying in. Then months later, finally I found them by accident, it’s always happening, funny, huh?

The watch’s battery was run out when I found it recently then I was too rush to leave home every day, always forgot to take the watch out to change the battery, but today I finally remember to do so. After done for lunch then I went to the watch shop to change the battery, it’s much expensive now, it was only charging HK$15 back in 2010, then HK$25 in 2018, and now, HK$35, but when considering I am going to do that every few years, I told myself, don’t mind. It’s not costly anyway.

Now I am happy I can wear the lovely watch again even though I might not really look at that checking time too often, most likely it’s a decoration on my hand more than then watch that for me checking the time, hahaha.
