Stay Curious, there’s no end to Knowledge

I never want to stop learning. One thing that keeps my mind alive is learning new things or acquiring new knowledge about old things. I consider myself an endless pit for wisdom, and it is evident in the long nights I’ve spent down several rabbit holes chasing after information I probably had no use for. I have always been fascinated by the possibility of learning something new since I was a child.

I remember my parents trying to save me from books I had no business reading at a certain age. Once I see a book, I have to read it, it doesn’t matter what it is about. I would read books on adult sex education, medical care and healing remedies, pre-historic tales, wars, tradition, and what not. I would spend hours reading every bit of an instruction manual on any new item my parents purchased. News papers, magazines, atlas, etc were my companion. I’m surprised I didn’t turn out to be a full fledged nerd.

My hunger for knowledge has remained the same and I’m grateful I didn’t lose that precious touch. My poor ability to fully commit to one thing can be attributed to my desire to learn and expand my knowledge. I’m always looking forward to the next thing, to the next book, the next adventure.

We can never know it all. No matter how experienced you think you are on a subject, there will always be something new you can find out about it. Which is why we must always keep an open mind about everything. Something, knowledge can come from the least expected place or person; even teachers find themselves learning from their students.

The world is constantly evolving, the things we know, the information we base our experiences on are also evolving with it. Where I’m from, we have a saying that you don’t stand at one place to observe the displace of a masquerade. You have to be willing to move from one point to another, to change, and adapt fresh perspectives. Or, you just might get left behind.

Life is a journey where all the good stuff happens in the process and not the destination. To make this process worthwhile, we must embrace the habit of learning continuously in order to grow personally and professionally and seamlessly navigate the complexities of our everyday changing world.

Stay curious!

As far as the world keeps evolving, we should keep learning to always meet up with the pace of this world. Well we are in a world where people do not value knowledge
