Coronas de Navidad, elaboradas con yoyos (Esp-Eng)

Saludos, gente bonita y creativa de esta comunidad. Hoy les muestro cómo hacer estas coronitas de tela con la técnica de los yoyos. Como ya he compartido antes, esto me lo enseñó a hacer mi mamá. Ella hace cojines, tapetes y muchas cosas más, aprovechando los retazos de tela que le van quedando. Le gusta mucho coser, bordar y tejer, a veces se excede y sus ojitos se enferman, pero cuando ya se siente bien, vuelve a las agujas. Ayer, estuve en su casa durante todo el día, atendiendo algunas cosas familiares. Almorzamos juntas, le gusta mucho cocinar para nosotros y a mí me encanta su sazón. Siempre la comida de mamá es un bálsamo, ¿verdad? Pues, después del ammuerzo, nos sentamos a conversar y en esas, le dije para que hiciéramos algo con sus yoyitos. Así, surgió esta idea que comencé con ella y terminé en casa. No le tomé fotos, mientras me ayudaba a coser porque me dijo que no estaba presentable, ella es muy coqueta y le gusta estar arregladita siempre.

Disfruté mucho el rato que estuvimos juntas haciendo estos adornitos para compartirlo con ustedes. Les dejo en las fotos, el paso a paso de cómo se hacen estas coronitas. No es difícil, solo con un poquito de paciencia y creatividad, podemos hacer cosas muy bonitas para seguir adornando nuestra Navidad.

Greetings, beautiful and creative people of this community. Today I show you how to make these little fabric crowns using the yo-yo technique. As I have shared before, this was taught to me by my mom. She makes cushions, rugs, and many other things, using the scraps of fabric she has leftover. She loves to sew, embroider and knit, sometimes she overdoes it and her little eyes get sick, but when she feels fine, she goes back to the needles. Yesterday, I was at her house all day, taking care of some family things. We had lunch together, she loves to cook for us and I love her cooking. Mom's food is always a balm, isn't it? Well, after lunch, we sat down to talk, and at that moment, I told her to do something with her little yoyos. So, this idea came up and I started with her and ended up at home. I didn't take pictures of her while she was helping me sew because she told me she wasn't presentable, she is very flirtatious and likes to be dressed up all the time.

I really enjoyed the time we spent together making these little ornaments to share with you. I leave you in the photos, the step by step on how to make these crowns. It is not difficult, with just a little bit of patience and creativity, we can make beautiful things to decorate our Christmas.

Para elaborar estas coronas de yoyos, usé los siguientes materiales:

*Tela verde y roja

*Tijeras

*Hilo y aguja

*Cintas decorativas

*Foamy dorado

To make these yo-yo wreaths, I used the following materials:

*Green and red fabric

*Scissors

*Thread and needle

*Decorative ribbons

*Golden foamy

1.- Lo primero que debemos hacer es sacar la plantilla para hacer los círculos, luego los marcamos en la tela y recortamos. Sugiero que marquemos y cortemos todos los círculos que vayamos a necesitar para luego pasar a coserlos.

1.- The first thing to do is to take out the template to make the circles, then mark them on the fabric and cut them out. I suggest that we mark and cut out all the circles that we are going to need and then sew them.

2.- Cuando ya los tengamos todos cortados, procedemos a coser.La idea es que hagamos una costura en zigzag por todo el borde del círculo y luego apretemos para que se encoja y quede arruchadito cada yoyo.

2.- When we have them all cut, we proceed to sew, the idea is to make a zigzag stitch around the edge of the circle and then press it so that it shrinks and each yoyo is crumpled up.

3.- Así deben quedar ya cosidos y arruchados. Como no teníamos suficientes retazos de tela verde, hicimos más yoyos de la tela roja y nos alcanzó para hacer dos coronas rojas y una verde.

4.- El siguiente paso es darle la forma de corona y unir uno por uno los yoyos en forma circular, tomando en cuenta que la costura debe hacer por el lado de atrás de donde arruchamos. Es decir, la parte que cosemos será el frente de la corona. Esto porque le da textura a la corona.

5.- Así es la manera en la que vamos a unir los yoyos, por la parte de atrás.

6.- Cuando cosí todos los yoyos, le agregué una argolla para guindarla en el arbolito o en cualquier otra parte para decorar y un lazo en la parte inferior de la corona.

6.- When I sewed all the yoyos, I added a ring to hang it on the tree or anywhere else to decorate and a bow at the bottom of the wreath.

7.- Luego, para terminarlas, les puse una estrellita en el medio de los yoyos para simular las costuras y darle un toque navideño de brillo especial.

8.- A las coronas rojas,les puse los lazos con cintas unicolores roja y verde. Y, a la corona verde le puse un lazo de cinta con un estilo escocés.
