Embroidered Hadita, girl's tote bag(EN-ES)

Happy New Year, my dear needle lovers!

I hope you are all feeling great, healthy and well. I wish you a year full of lots of creativity and realized projects.

Today I am back in this beautiful and creative community to share with you my first work of this year 2024.

On January 12, Abril Alejandra, my oldest nephew's daughter, turned four years old. She is my first grandniece and for her I embroidered this tote bag that I will be sending to Venezuela very soon.

I bought this bag with the immediate vision of turning it into the ideal canvas for a nice embroidery, because it comes with a little fairy or magical ballerina design that I liked very much.

Espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, con salud y bienestar. Les deseo un año pleno de mucha creatividad y de proyectos realizados.

Hoy estoy de vuelta por esta hermosa y creativa comunidad para compartir con ustedes mi primer trabajo de este año 2024.

El 12 de enero cumplió cuatro añitos Abril Alejandra,la hija de mi sobrino mayor. Es mi primera sobrinieta y para ella bordé este bolsito conocido como tote bag que le estaré enviando a Venezuela muy pronto.

Compré este bolsito con la visión inmediata de convertirlo en el lienzo ideal para un lindo bordado, pues ya viene con un diseño de hadita o bailarina mágica que me gustó mucho.

With this project in hand, I decided to chain stitch most of the design. I started with the dress. I did the first few chain stitches all around the edge with pink skein because that was my intention, to embroider just the edges of the whole design. Then, I let myself be carried away by the result I was seeing and continued to fill in the whole dress.

I also filled in the star in the center of the dress with yellow skein.

I went on to embroider the butterfly wings on this little haddock with blue shaded skein. This time, I embroidered the entire border with chain stitches. I did three rows to give it thickness and left it there.

Con este proyecto en manos, decidí bordar con punto de cadeneta la mayor parte del diseño. Empecé por el vestido. Realicé las primeras puntadas de cadenetas por todo el borde con madeja rosada porque esa era mi intención, bordar solo los bordes de todo el dibujo. Luego, me dejé llevar por el resultado que estaba viendo y seguí hasta rellenar todo el trajecito.

Igualmente, rellené la estrella en el centro del vestido con madeja amarilla.

Pasé a bordar las alitas de mariposa que tiene esta hadita con madeja azul matizada. Esta vez, bordé toda la orilla con cadenetas. Hice tres hileras para darle grosor y lo dejé hasta ahí.

With brown skein, I embroidered the hair. I loved the effect I achieved with the chains, because they look like Abril's curls. I also embroidered the crown with fuchsia skein and the mouth with red skein stitches.

I must confess that the slippers of this little ballerina hadina gave me a bit of work, but, finally, I managed to show the bows tied at the ankles.

To finish the embroidery of this tote bag for April. I embroidered all the little stars that were around.

I'm happy with the result of my first project, and I'm sure that when I show it to my Abrilita by video call, she will love it. The only thing left to do is to buy her a few little things to include in the bag and send her her gift.

This year I want to continue embroidering and improving my skills in this beautiful art, so soon I will start some workshops to learn new techniques. Of course, I will be telling you, my dear friends.

Con madeja marrón, le bordé los cabellos. Me encantó el efecto que logré con las cadenetas, pues se parecen a los rizos de Abril. También, bordé la coronita con madeja fucsia y la boquita con puntadas de madeja roja.

Les confieso que las zapatillas de esta hadita bailarina me dieron jun poco de trabajo, pero, finalmente, conseguí que se vieran los lazos amarraditos a los tobillos.

Para terminar el bordado de este tote bag para Abril. Bordé todas las estrellitas que estaban alrededor.

Estoy feliz con el resultado de mi primer proyecto, y estoy segura de que cuando se lo muestre a mi Abrilita por videollamada, le va a encantar. Sólo queda comprarle unas cositas para incluirlas en el bolsito y enviarle su regalo.

Este año quiero seguir bordando y mejorando mis habilidades en este hermoso arte, por eso, pronto comenzaré unos talleres para aprender nuevas técnicas. Por supuesto, les estaré contando, mis queridas amigas.
