Greetings, my dear friends of the needles. I hope you are all well, healthy and well being and that you can enjoy to the fullest this beautiful month of Christmas, a time of sharing and rejoicing in the heart.

This is the most beautiful time of the year because of the meaning it holds and also because of the Christmas decorations and details that embellish our homes and everything around us. Most families go to great lengths to spruce up every corner of their homes. Thus, we see the beautiful and colorful trees with their lights, ornaments throughout the house and the dining table is not left out of the decorations, as it is the place for family gatherings and sharing during the holidays.

Saludos, mis queridos amigos de las agujas. Espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, con salud y bienestar y que puedan disfrutar, al máximo este hermoso mes de fiesta navideña, tiempo de compartir y de regocijo en el corazón.

Esta época es la más bonita del año por el significado que guarda y, también, por las decoraciones y los detalles navideños que embellecen nuestras casas y todo a nuestro alrededor. La mayoría de las familias se esmeran por acicalar cada rincón de sus hogares. Así, vemos los hermosos y coloridos arbolitos con sus luces, adornos por toda la casa y la mesa del comedor no queda fuera de las decoraciones, pues es el lugar de encuentro familiar y de compartir durante los días festivos.

Thinking about the table that I will share this year with my family, I looked for the white cloth napkins that I brought from my country. This set of napkins is very special to me and I decided to bring them as a gift for my daughter. Last year I didn't use them because I wasn't very excited, but this time I want to use them and decorate the table with them for our Christmas and New Year's dinners.

When I saw them, it occurred to me to embroider them with a Christmas detail that would give them a new life and turn them into Christmas napkins from now on.

The embroidery is a Christmas flower with its leaves and twigs. I used skeins of colors typical of this season: red, green and yellow.

It is a simple embroidery with filling stitch, chain stitch and scallop.

Pensando en la mesa que compartiré este año con mi familia, busqué las servilletas blancas de tela que me traje de mi país. Este juego de servilletas es muy especial para mí y decidí traérselo de regalo a mi hija. El año pasado no las usé porque no estaba muy animada, pero esta vez quiero darles uso y adornar con ella la mesa para nuestras cenas: la de Navidad y la de Año nuevo.

Al verlas, se me ocurrió bordarles un detalle navideño que les diera una nueva vida y las convirtieran en las servilletas de Navidad de ahora en adelante.

El bordado es una flor de Navidad con sus hojas y ramitas. Usé madejas de colores propios de esta temporada: rojo, verde y amarillo.

Es un bordado sencillo con puntadas de relleno, cadeneta y festón.

I embroidered this design on one of the corners of the napkin, but I confess that I embroidered them so fast that I would like to embroider each of the corners, or, at least the one that is opposite to the one I already embroidered.

I am seriously thinking about it, but before I make a decision, I wanted to share with you this work that I loved to do.

I loved seeing them full of color and I can't wait to see how the new embroidered napkins look on the Christmas table. When the time comes, I will share with you the pictures of my decorated table.

Bordé este diseño en una de las esquinas de la servilleta, pero les confieso que las bordé tan rápido que me gustaría bordar cada una de las esquinas, o, al menos la que está opuesta a la que ya bordé.

Lo estoy pensando seriamente, pero antes de tomar una decisión, quise compartir con ustedes esta labor que amé hacer.

Me encantó verlas llenas de color y ya estoy ansiosa de ver cómo quedan puestas las nuevas servilletas bordadas en la mesa navideña. Cuando llegue el momento, les compartiré las fotos de mi mesa decorada.
