Atendiendo a la invitación de @sofiaquino98 para participar en el tercer concurso de esta comunidad, comparto, en esta entrada, las respuestas a las preguntas que nos dejan quienes nos convocan. Así pues, dejo para su consideración, mis reflexiones acerca de los hábitos y gustos que tengo como lectora.
In response to @sofiaquino98's invitation to participate in the third contest of this community, I share, in this post, the answers to the questions left to us by those who invite us. So, I leave for your consideration, my reflections about the habits and tastes that I have as a reader.
Leer es uno de los hábitos que más he disfrutado a lo largo de mi vida y estoy segura de que ahí surgió mi decisión de estudiar literatura y, de esta forma, poder conocer grandes escritores y poetas. Me encantaría invitar a @paolamendoza y a @jenycrc para que nos compartan sus experiencias como lectoras.
Reading is one of the habits I have enjoyed the most throughout my life and I am sure that is where my decision to study literature came from and, in this way, to get to know great writers and poets. I would love to invite @paolamendoza and @jenycrc to share their experiences as readers.
1.- ¿Cuál es tu momento o lugar favorito para leer
Cuando tengo en mis manos un libro que me ha atrapado, cualquier lugar y momento es bueno para sumergirme en sus páginas y continuar la lectura. Pero, obviamente, debo sentirme cómoda y estar en tranquilidad. Puedo leer acostada en mi cama, en el sofá o apoyada en mi mesa de trabajo. Lo más importante es que haya silencio porque pierdo la concentración muy rápido y no puedo continuar la linea de la historia.
1.- What is your favorite time or place to read?
When I have in my hands a book that has caught my attention, any place and time is good to immerse myself in its pages and continue reading. But, obviously, I must feel comfortable and be at ease. I can read lying on my bed, on the sofa or leaning on my desk. The most important thing is that there is silence because I lose concentration very quickly and I can't continue the line of the story.
2.- ¿Qué te hace disfrutar de un libro?
Sin duda alguna, que desarrolle una buena historia desde el principio y que me atrape de tal manera que no pueda dejar de leer. Si esto no pasa en las primeras páginas, lo dejo. No soy de las que tiene que terminar un libro porque sí. Para mí, el tiempo de lectura es un tiempo de mucho valor y el libro, a través de la trama y de los personajes, tiene que hacerme vivir una gran experiencia, una que sea inolvidable. De esas que provocan una gran tristeza cuando se acerca el final. Muchas veces le he dado largas a terminar un libro porque ha sido tan bueno y enriquecedor que no quiero que se termine y me deje la desazón que se siente cuando se llega a la última página :(
2.- What makes you enjoy a book?
Without a doubt, that it develops a good story from the beginning and that it grabs me in such a way that I can't stop reading. If this doesn't happen in the first few pages, I put it down. I'm not one of those who has to finish a book just because. For me, reading time is a very valuable time and the book, through the plot and the characters, has to make me live a great experience, one that is unforgettable. One of those that provoke a great sadness when the end is near. Many times I have dragged my feet to finish a book because it has been so good and enriching that I don't want it to end and leave me with the uneasiness I feel when I reach the last page :(
3.- ¿Te gusta leer al aire libre, antes de acostarte o en el autobús de camino al trabajo?
Como dije antes, cualquier lugar es apropiado cuando se tiene entre las manos un libro muy bueno e interesante. Puedo leer mi libro de cabecera antes de acostarme, o llevarlo a la playa, por ejemplo. Pero lo que no haría, sería leer en un autobús, en medio de la gente y donde debo estar atenta de tantas otras cosas.
3.- Do you like to read outdoors, before going to bed, or on the bus on the way to work?
As I said before, any place is appropriate when you have a very good and interesting book in your hands. I can read my bedtime book before going to bed, or take it to the beach, for example. But what I wouldn't do, would be to read on a bus, in the middle of people and where I have to be aware of so many other things.
4.- ¿Te enfocas en el desarrollo del personaje, los mensajes reflexivos o el nivel de intriga que genera una trama en ti?
Considero que esto es un todo inseparable. Como lectora disfruto de la historia, de cómo se va entretejiendo la trama, de los personajes y de las emociones que se mueven en mí, durante la lectura. Al final, siempre se hace el ejercicio reflexivo sobre lo leído, sobre lo que se ha aprendido, sobre la huella que ha dejado y resaltamos aquello que más hizo resonancia en nosotros. Una parte de nuestra vida, de nuestra conciencia se transforma cuando leemos un buen libro.
4.- Do you focus on character development, thoughtful messages or the level of intrigue a plot generates in you?
I consider this to be an inseparable whole. As a reader, I enjoy the story, how the plot is woven, the characters, and the emotions that move in me during the reading. At the end, we always reflect on what we have read, on what we have learned, on the mark, it has left and we highlight what resonated with us the most. A part of our life, of our consciousness, is transformed when we read a good book.
