Set de Portaservilletas para una Navidad con estilo (ES-EN)

Saludos, mis queridos amigos creativos de esta comunidad. Espero que estén muy bien, con salud y disfrutando de los días más bonitos del año.

Estoy de vuelta por la comunidad para compartir una manualidad sencilla, pero muy linda y, además, muy útil y práctica para estos días en los que las mesa nos espera para disfrutar de momentos mágicos.

Hace unos días bordé unas servilletas blancas de tela que ya tenía y a las que renové con un toque navideño. A estas servilletas que para mí son muy especiales, les bordé una flor navideña con sus ramitas. Pueden verlas terminadas en esta publicación. Me parece que el diseño quedó hermoso y le dio un cambio llamativo y festivo.

Ahora bien, para complementar la mesa de Navidad, pensé en hacer un set de portaservilletas para presentar las servilletas de tela que ya había bordado. Entre tantas ideas que vi en páginas de la web, encontré una que me gustó mucho. Así que enfilé toda mi energía para buscar los materiales que iba a necesitar.

I'm back in the community to share a simple craft, but very nice and also very useful and practical for these days when the table is waiting for us to enjoy magical moments.

A few days ago I embroidered some white cloth napkins that I already had and I renewed them with a Christmas touch. I embroidered a Christmas flower with twigs on these napkins, which are very special to me. You can see them finished in this publication. I thought the design turned out beautifully and gave it a striking and festive change.

Now, to complement the Christmas table, I thought of making a set of napkin holders to present the cloth napkins I had already embroidered. Among so many ideas I saw on web pages, I found one that I really liked. So I focused all my energy to look for the materials I was going to need.

Para este proyecto tenía que comprar unas argollas de madera, pero luego de buscarlas en el departamento de manualidades de mi tienda favorita, no las encontré. Sin embargo, en esa búsqueda, aparecieron unos adornos de madera para el arbolito que de inmediato me dieron la idea de usarlos para lo que yo quería.

Estos adornos de madera venían en tres formas: estrellas, corazones y arbolitos. Después de pensarlo bastante, decidí comprar las estrellas de madera porque, definitivamente, me parecieron más adecuadas para hacer los portaservilletas. Además, compré un ramo de bayas rojas y cinta delgada de color rojo.

El color rojo es uno de los más bonitos, a mí parecer, es el color del amor y de la pasión, pero, también, es el color protagónico de la Navidad y amo esto. Así que en mis decoraciones navideñas, el rojo está presente siempre.

For this project I had to buy some wooden rings, but after looking for them in the craft department of my favorite store, I couldn't find them. However, in that search, I came across some wooden ornaments for the tree that immediately gave me the idea to use them for what I wanted.

These wooden ornaments came in three shapes: stars, hearts and trees. After a lot of thought, I decided to buy the wooden stars because they definitely seemed more suitable for making the napkin holders. In addition, I bought a bunch of red berries and thin red ribbon.

Red is one of the most beautiful colors, in my opinion, it is the color of love and passion, but it is also the main color of Christmas and I love that. So in my Christmas decorations, red is always present.

Lo primero que hice fue desatar la cuerda de mecatillo que traía cada uno de los adornos. Al principio, pensé usarla también, pero desistí de esta idea porque le daba un aspecto burdo y ordinario que no iba acorde con el estilo que quería.

Luego, hice un ramito de tres bayas rojas enrollándolas con su mismo tallo y lo introduje por el huequito de la estrella de madera. Acomodé y ajusté bien y, para finalizar, até la cinta delgada de manera que las lazadas cayeran a los lados.

The first thing I did was to untie the rope that came with each of the ornaments. At first, I thought about using it too, but I gave up on this idea because it gave it a crude and ordinary look that was not in keeping with the style I wanted.

Next, I made a sprig of three red berries by rolling them up by their stems and inserted it through the hole in the wooden star. I adjusted and adjusted well and, to finish, I tied the thin ribbon so that the loops fell to the sides.

Hice una prueba con una de las servilletas y me encantó el resultado. Seguí adornando las otras estrellas hasta terminar el set de portaservilletas.

Verlos todos terminados, recogiendo las servilletas me hizo feliz, ¡se ven tan bonitos! Estoy considerando, buscar un ramo de hojitas verdes para agregarle una o dos entre las bayas, pero ya así, me encantan.

I did a test with one of the napkins and loved the result. I continued to embellish the other stars until I finished the napkin holder set.

Seeing them all finished, picking up the napkins made me happy, they look so pretty! I'm considering, looking for a bunch of little green leaves to add one or two between the berries, but already like this, I love them.

Las servilletas presentadas, de este modo, el día de nuestra cena de Navidad y en la cena de Año Nuevo nos hará disfrutar de una Navidad con mucho estilo.
