Shopping in Venezuela is becoming more and more expensive(ESP-ENG)
Shopping in Venezuela is becoming more and more expensive since the purchasing power of the majority of the population is very low and cannot afford the high prices of products. Last year we saw how the supermarkets were supplied with a lot of merchandise, much of it imported, and far away are the years when the shelves were empty and there were shortages of most of the basic necessities for which you had to wait in long lines to get them. It is as if everything had been hidden and overnight everything appeared and the shelves were filled with national and imported merchandise.
As a university professor, I do not have a salary that allows me to make a market that covers the entire basic food basket. This is about $11, which is not enough for the whole month, but for a few days of each fortnight at the most. This is why most professionals in this country have had to look for other sources of income such as remote jobs or those that allow us to have a remuneration with cryptocurrencies like the one we get here at #hive for publishing content.
In my house, we do market weekly and we see with amazement how each week is more than the previous one both in bolivars and dollars because in Venezuela even foreign currency is devalued. Even the impossible happens here. The market is only for two people: my husband and me. Although we also put in the cart one thing or another to take to our mothers, who live on a pension that is also a pyrrhic amount.
The market we do is only of the basics and of some things that, at present, have prices that do not seem coherent to us, but that we cannot stop buying because they are beneficial to our health, as is the case of teas, for example. In our shopping, we include some proteins, vegetables, vegetables, and fruits. Also, we should carry the personal hygiene and cleaning products that are necessary.
In our cart, we also include the milk that we like to make coffee with milk, this is one of the products that we do not lack at home. And in recent markets, we have been making comparisons, and with respect to milk, we have seen that it is more economical to buy almond milk, although it seems a luxury, it is not. Well, the liquid lactose-free milk that we used to drink costs more. The price of almond milk is $2 and the price of lactose-free milk is $2.53.
Actually, it is becoming more and more difficult to buy the same products with the same amount of money. And it is no longer possible to make a fixed budget for this purpose. Every week we have to take out more money for the same thing or buy fewer things, the latter is impossible because, as I said above, what we buy is just what we need. I have no idea where our economy is going to end up, what I do have clear is the certainty that we have to keep working steadily to be able to have the economic capacity to cover our needs.

Saludos, amigo.
Thank you for sharing the situation in your country. Venezuela is getting a lot of attention around the world. We see what corruption and mismanagement can do.
This is something that hopefully cryptocurrency can help to solve. By getting involved with Hive, hopefully you can pull some extra income in which will help you to offset some of the price increases. At least you are dealing with a currency outside the Bolivar which is, from what I read, horrific.
Hopefully this post will help your family a bit. Keep active and share your success with others from your country. The aim is to change lives with Hive.
Venezuela is a great place to start.

Saludos.
