Art, picnic, nature and a surprise fair. 📚

Sunny day, although a bit cool, well it's still winter. But that doesn't stop me from going out.

I prepared something simple to eat, some chicken breast sandwiches, also the Argentinian mate, as it couldn't be otherwise and with good company I went for a nice walk. I didn't mind having a late lunch, I would do it in the middle of nature.

But I didn't have anything planned anyway, often things are more interesting that way.

I like to take streets I might not know, narrow and maybe lonely streets and sometimes I find surprises. This time the art on the walls came out to meet me.

I love old buildings and this one on a corner was very beautiful.

When I turned the corner almost in the same place another narrow street was waiting for me. That way you can get to know new places without having anything planned.

A graffiti on a gate, also on a corner, showed me the way to go.

I turn into a street that is very close to the city's harbour to find a recently renovated place.

Before, I could only see buildings like this one, very beautiful for its architecture and antiquity.

But now in the middle of these buildings I found a beautifully designed space with a small garden and colourful flowers. The benches were very original.

There is a reason why they call this city the changing city, something is always changing in it, which means that I can always see new things.

That street led me to a beautiful square with playgrounds, trees, nature, sun and a very pleasant space.

Walking for a while among the vegetation was very nice, while I was looking for a place to sit down to have something to eat and drink mate. All the benches in the sun were occupied. But that didn't worry me.

On this route this beautiful palm tree was part of the natural decoration, it was leafy and provided a lot of shade.

But also this water fountain crossed my path, or rather I crossed its path. There were pigeons drinking water. Too bad they got scared when I approached for a good shot.

The tops of the trees are slowly putting out their leaves, it will only be a few days before spring and everything will be dressed in colour, it will be great.

We decided with my companion to sit on a bench in the shade, the others were busy with people enjoying the sun. But we had pic nic and mate. We didn't need the sun.

After a long chat and enjoying the place, the atmosphere and what we had arrived at, we decided to walk for another while.

My surprise was when, on our way to the main avenue, we came across a book fair. But not a normal book fair, but one of antique and second-hand books.

It was a real surprise to come across the stalls. So many things and events that I still don't know about this city and that continue to surprise me.

I went around each of these stands offering all kinds of books.

There were historical and religious books.

There was also reading about art and architecture.

Others were very interesting, like the Art of War, with many teachings. It was recently recommended to me in a post.

I was also able to find colourful card drops in their colourful boxes.

Magazines and posters from another era, but no less beautiful.

I love the binding and the smell of old books. I felt like I was in a big library with lots to read, history, art and interesting reading.

There were also novels, science fiction books. I think there were all genres. Reading for all styles and tastes. I love suspense and mystery and there was plenty of that too.

I really enjoyed this part of the walk, admiring the books and especially the bindings.

Before returning to each one I came across several plant and flower stalls and I couldn't resist taking pictures of them.

Lots of colour and variety on offer and there were also cacti, I love them. Flower arrangements and orchids. My mother loves those.

What better day and walk I could have spent among books, flowers, nature and a pic nic. A walk where I not only breathed fresh air, but my eyes were delighted with the good things in life.
