Games, palm trees, sea and history.

It has been very hot days, too hot, but this afternoon was beautiful for walking. And what better than in a cooler place, than near the sea.

I took advantage of the fact that I was already close by for other circumstances to take a relaxing walk and admire what I found on my way. Besides, I love the sea air and as I got closer I could feel the breeze and the freshness.

First I stopped at a park that had beautiful white flowers, they greeted me as I passed by and why not return the greeting with a photograph to make them famous.

I am always grateful for the beautiful things that nature shows me.

To get near one of the many promenades of the city I have to cross a large avenue and leave behind the beautiful park.

Careful not to cross it because it is red, I said to myself, lest I get distracted.

The sun only illuminated the tops of the buildings and the tall palm trees.

All the promenades in my city are lined with palm trees.

As I crossed I noticed that there was yet another park, but this time not of bushes and flowers but one where I could stroll, walk, sit for a while and watch the sunset.

In the distance I saw a tower, I thought to myself, is it a tower? Then I will go and see what it is, I answered myself.

The place was very clean and tidy and people here and there, some chatting in groups, others alone walking.

When I turn around I see this beautiful playground for children, with drawings of elephants. Very sweet and cuddly, full of color. Seats where parents can be close to the children while they play.

Where are they? They must be at the beach, with the hot day they must be making sand castles. I think they were.

The sun continued to go down and gave some orange tones in the distance and in the higher areas.

I keep walking and already near the sea I see a beach bar, Chiringuito Maria. How beautiful and well placed it was. Very nice and elegant with decorations on the walls referring to the fishermen.

These palm trees look like they were practicing symmetry, they almost succeeded.

Beautiful, tall and well dressed. No, they are not people, but they were still beautiful.

Now I'm closer to that tower, what could it be? It looks more like an old chimney.

I follow the marked path, people enjoying the scenery and the air.

I love lampposts and these looked very modern. Behind the majestic sea, I could not leave it aside, I love the water. People on the beach playing sports, they looked far away but there they were.

I arrive at the chimney, and I discover that it is an old industrial chimney, also called Monica Tower. It was built in 1923 for the lead smelter in the neighborhood of Los Guindos and is built with refractory bricks.

It is beautiful and I am glad it is preserved as historical.

When I turn around I find this building, what a striking construction. It was waving at me so I took a picture of it.

Night begins to fall and in the inner parks the lights begin to turn on, a beautiful sight. Time to end the day's walk.
