The Contemporary Art Centre de Málaga not only has temporary collections, which you can see here in my previous post, but it also has permanent collections that are growing over time.

Many artists of various styles are to be found in these collections and this area is always being expanded.

The permanent collections take up about half of the museum.

I have visited it on several occasions and these works are really very good, depending on the chosen mode of art.

These permanent collections are made up of both acquisitions made by the City Council and by private collectors for a certain period of time.

20230621_202530.jpg20230621_202552.jpg

Different artistic movements and trends, especially from the last decades, are represented.

20230621_202635.jpg

Many works by internationally renowned artists are represented, but there is also a special focus on Spanish artists from the 1980s to the present day.

20230621_202602.jpg

The selection takes into account the latest trends of the period, authors with national and international reference, innovation, quality, etc.

20230621_202621.jpg

We find sculptures, oil and acrylic paintings, collages, drawings, representations, hamparte, among others. A lot of variety, colour, textures and tastes.

20230621_202704.jpg

Photography and even recordings and videos are also very present.

The exhibitions are constantly being expanded to include numerous modern artists, making them known.

20230621_202945.jpg

In all these works more than 50 artists are represented and that is the fabulous thing about this museum, the support for art in different expressions.

20230621_203342.jpg

I found many works in these exhibitions that caught my attention, especially the drawings.

20230621_203002.jpg

20230621_203236.jpg

Others were abstract and thought-provoking.

20230621_203427.jpg

20230621_203519.jpg

The photographs were very well executed.

The oil paintings with a lot of colour and texture. Some very simple and others with a lot of content.

20230621_203403.jpg

20230621_203443.jpg

Representations of ancient works brought by artists to modernity with a new style.

20230621_203134.jpg

20230621_203154.jpg

Sculptures or representations that catch the eye because of their brilliance or meaning.

20230621_203455.jpg

The tour is very interesting, because next to a painting we can find an excellent collage, and next to it a photograph of interesting depths.

20230621_203037.jpg

One of the works that I found most interesting is this woman made in collage with different materials. It caught my attention and I liked it a lot.

20230621_203148.jpg

20230621_202920.jpg

Pictures of geometric figures, lines, colours, perfect perspective.

Paintings made in pencil with incredible detail in their execution that seem to show a scene of reality and even look like a photograph.

20230621_203840.jpg

20230621_203905.jpg

Small paintings of the human figure were also present.

20230621_203644.jpg20230621_203720.jpg

Variety, modernity, colour, textures, multiple materials with which all these works of art have been made occupy this place in this great museum.

20230621_203926.jpg

Some may like some and others others others, but what is certain is that they all have something to tell, you just have to look at them from the right perspective.

A beautiful tour, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, admiring each work of art in detail.

Best regards to all of you, until next time.
Amonet.

art is subjective they say over there. I don't find any meaning in these works, I should analyze calmly... but the fact that they are enigmatic gives me more pleasure haha
