Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

The world, our planet, spins and spins in the middle of a vast universe, full of other planets, stars, constellations.....

But what people don't know is what's outside that world. Because it spins and spins...

A monster with a heart of stars and numerous tentacles moves the earth as it pleases, feeds on it, on its energy, the energy generated by all of us. What are we for this being?

Its gaze is fixed on the planet that spins and spins, and its tentacles make that possible and so does life on this planet.

Its gaze fixed on the stars attracts the energy that moves it to give life in turn.

Design process

The design is made with 4 images, 1 video and 20 layers.

To make the background I used two images of the universe with stars. To the first one I adjusted the light and contrast and the second one I placed over the previous one in two layers with lighten and soft light blending.

On top of the previous one I placed the image that looks like a portal and erasing the edges I placed it in three layers with blending lighten, focal light and soft light.

Then it would correspond to the layer of the planet, but as it is a video, I add it as a layer in the animation with lighten fusion.

Then I started to work on the Kraken image, first I selected, copied and pasted it into the design. I made 4 layers of it, but in each one I deformed the tentacles to look more quantity and the fusions were, strong light, raster and lighten.

I created two more layers of the same one, but I focused his face and eyes in two layers with normal and soft light fusions and on these layers I created two more, but with the small kraken and with focal light and lighten fusions.

With a brush I created a flare of fire over the eyes, in two layers with mergers intense light and divide.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for a better contrast.

El mundo, nuestro planeta gira y gira en medio de un universo muy basto, lleno de otros planetas, estrellas, constelaciones….

Pero lo que la gente no sabe es que hay fuera de ese mundo. Porque gira y gira…

Un monstruo con corazón de estrellas y numerosos tentáculos mueve a la tierra a su antojo, se alimenta de ella, de su energía, la que generamos todos nosotros. ¿Qué somos para este ser?

Su mirada esta fija en el planeta que gira y gira, y sus tentáculos hace eso posible y así mismo la vida en este planeta.

Su mirada fija en las estrellas atrae la energía que lo mueve a dar vida a su vez.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño esta realizado con 4 imágenes, 1 video y en 20 capas.

Para realizar el fondo usé dos imágenes de universo con estrellas. A la primera le ajusté la luz y contraste y la segunda la coloqué sobre la anterior en dos capas con fusiones aclarar y luz suave.

Sobre lo anterior puse la imagen que se parece a un portal y borrando los bordes la coloqué en tres capas con fusiones aclarar, luz focal y luz suave.

Luego correspondería a capa del planeta, pero como es un video, lo agrego como capa en la animación con fusión de aclarar.

Posteriormente comencé a trabajar la imagen del Kraken, primero lo seleccioné, copié y pegué en el diseño. Hice 4 capas del mismo, pero en cada una deforme los tentáculos para aparentar más cantidad y las fusiones fueron, luz fuerte, trama y aclarar.

Cree dos capas más del mismo, pero enfoqué su rostro y ojos en dos capas con fusiones normal y luz suave y sobre estas capas cree dos más, pero con el kraken pequeño y con fusiones luz focal y aclarar.

Con un pincel cree una llamarada de fuego sobre los ojos, en dos capas con fusiones luz intensa y dividir.

La animación esta realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
