Hello good day everyone and lovers of this amazing #marketfriday write up. Much grateful to @dswigle for masterminding this great idea to promote our local market to the world.
Today on the market day picture, I am expiring on Kente Cloth, one of the thing that defines the Ghanaian Culture.
Indeed culture is a way of life of a group of people being it how they dress, eat, dance etc.

Our emphasis today will be on dressing and that is why I take you through one of our prominent dress in the country.

Kente cloth is one of the things that generate more income for the country for its aesthetic value. Kente is exporting to all parts of the world today.
Today our team paid a visit to Bonwire where Kente is believed to be originated from. Our main reasons to ascertain the challenges these weavers are facing and how they are coping with them.
Our visitation gave us the history behind this cloth and trust me you will admire the history. This idea of weaving this cloth came from how the spider weave its web.

Increase in raw materials have made it very difficult for them to produce more said one of the weavers.

Kente cloth comes with its designs and these are called Adinkra Symbols. These symbols have their various names and names and suggest Which one to used for a particular occasion.
Some of these symbols are

This Kente is mostly worn at high profile occasions like weddings, naming ceremonies, enstoolment of chiefs, swearing in of president etc. So in short this cloth is very prominent to Ghanaians.

Most used the design as a mofler during graduations ceremonies

The most luxurious clothing we have here in Ghana. How it is made is amazing and it takes those that are skillful to weave it. Thanks for sharing this bro

I absolutely love the woven fabric from Ghana! @mcsamm has done a few on different shops a long time ago and this is a totally different spin on it anyway. So bright, bold, and beautiful, it would be an honor to get married in the colors! The shot of your sister is gorgeous. Good for her! I cannot imagine a nicer way to embrace my culture.

Wonderful post, great description and so glad you brought us! It is true about the internet, but, I like reading how you see it as sometimes I get a better idea of how it looks from a local Ghanian! Thanks so much for posting in #MarketFriday~
