Embracing the Euphoria: My Favourite Day of the Week

All my days are filled with a lot of activities, ranging from cleaning to studies to writing to working on projects among other schedules and responsibilities. But amidst all these, there's one that stands out for me and that day is Sunday - a day where time slows down a bit as compared to other days.

Sunday is a day I get time to reflect on my life decisions in the past week, what I did and could not do; things I had to do and how productive my previous week was. On Sundays, the burdens of the week lighten, and the weight of obligation momentarily lifts.

Unlike other days, I'm awakened by the cries of an alarm clock at 4:30am and by 5:30am on Saturdays, I'm able to savour the soft embrace of my bed a little while longer. I wake up at 7:00am only because I have to prepare for church later that morning.
One of the joys of Sundays is the luxury of unhurried mornings. I'm able to comfortably eat breakfast without caring about being late for a morning class.

After breakfast, I head over to bathe and get ready for church. Church starts at 10:00am and ends at 12:00pm. I get home around 3:45pm because I stay behind to help with other Sunday activities which takes approximately 3 hours, and it takes almost an hour to get home from church.

Once I get home, I take a Sunday afternoon nap for about 15 minutes and head to the kitchen to make dinner. It takes an hour or a little above an hour to get dinner ready depending on the food I'm making.
After dinner, I go to my room where I take the time to relax and unwind from the past week's stress. I read a book, journal or watch a series of movies.
I sometimes lock myself in my room, let the curtains down, play loud music and have a little karaoke session.

I go to the living room to talk to my family, laugh and watch the news with them.
On Sundays, I don't even bother taking a book to study.
Sometimes after church, we pay a visit to my grandma and spend some time with her and other members of the extended family too.

As the day comes to an end, I say a word of prayer, thank God and retire peacefully to bed.

Just the thought of how Mondays come after Sundays make me hate Sunday.😂 I know it’s fair but I just can’t help it. I get to rest a lot on Sundays but I also dread Sundays. If you get it.

It's said that one man's meat is another man's poison and it's very true in this case because your favourite day is Sunday but it's my worst 😅 I used to love Sundays back when I was a graduate because I didn't have to go to class that day but now that I have graduated, Sundays are usually the most stressful day for me

I think I’m also beginning to like Sundays because of church service actually
I look forward to sunday all the time because I’m beginning to love the peace that comes with that day.

With all that you have said, we really understand why Sunday is your favorite day of the week.
In fact our favorite part is where you don’t touch book because sometimes the mind needs full rest.
