This is the entry to "MyPictureDay Photography Contest" run by @timsaid and sponsored by @blocktrades and @theycallmedan.

Starting this visual story from the frame already posted not too much long ago, just because it may bemost eye catching one and properly retouched via LR+PS trying to get out all available details
While all the rest photos passed just the standard basic retouch at LR only, but back to the story

That was on 07 of April this year. Weather was just perfect to go for an evening walk to Curonian Spit, taking a small ferry to pass to other side of the gulf. After quite a walk at the forest and getting some decent macro shots of the nature, suddenly got notification form my I-Phone app about incoming event - The Big Pink Moon was almost about to appear above the horizon at my location. Well, this time i had just exactly the set I need for that - a crop factor camera plus very long tele-photo lens. That was an old idea to catch the Moon at this position slowly rising over the city, but from quite a distance in order to compress perspective a lot and for the Moon to look much much larger on the shots

First shot were done when just climbed on a hill and all city line was before my eyes. Pity, but the lower atmosphere part was too smoky and not really transparent. So maybe best shots which I could get with a biggest moon possible went out almost trash with hardly visible moon.

At this point, and with some level of disappointment, we went down taking our route to the ferry in order to pass gulf back coming home. And then, the more Moon was above the horizon, the clearer view we were getting. So after all was able to get some interesting composition shots with the Moon over the city, container and ferry terminals and finally played a bit with high lighters. That was already when we have reached or destination back to the city side.

All photos shot just handheld, no any filters. Maybe quality is not on a HQ level, but that was really maximum possible to get in those particular shooting conditions

Hope you will enjoy!

I like them a lot, I have a weakness for photos with the moon. I don't manage to take such photos, I have neither knowledge nor tools.
