How I met my Bestfriend

It’s a very long story so make sure your seatbelts are on we are going for a rollercoaster ride!

Okay so, I want to talk about my best-friend I mean she was before. Unfortunately we are not friends anymore. I really do miss her and wish her the best of her life and don’t know if she still thinks of me because it’s been like 4years we never talked.
How she became my bestfriend? In 6th grade we first met at a coaching where we had studied together. Our school was different but we used to go to the same coaching that’s how we had met.

At first we didn’t have a good connection because there was another person between us Her name is Ferdousi. Actually I am a introvert from the beginning so, I don’t know why the Ferdousi had problem with my skin colour. For being fair she used to say “People like me because I am fair otherwise my face is not pretty.” She would say my hand palm looked like old women because of wrinkles on it. So, she always laughed it off as fun but I knew she meant them for real.

One day, she put her hand beside mine and started to say “Your skin is brighter than mine.” Then I replied “well it doesn’t matter if I am brighter you are pretty the way you are.” So, my words never got to reach her heart. Another day I was absent and the other day I came to class and saw Ferdousi being quite and not talking to anyone which got me concerned about her, then I had asked others they said that “a guy named “AK” from our class called her dark skinned which made her cry yesterday.” So, I waited till our classes had finished and then I called the guy by his name and asked him why he said those words to her which made her cry. He said he was joking and then I said it’s only fun when the person is also having fun and not getting offensive. Also asked him to apologise to her. Later on he had apologised to her with respect and then she forgave him and smiled but still she was not happy with me.

Guys in the class used to call my name so I had to reply them back if they had asked anything or laugh with them if they were cracking a joke.
So, Ferdousi used to stop me from replying back to other guys and asked me why am I laughing too much with them but she used to do the same with the guys which never got me bothered but she used to ask me not to do it and talk less.

I have shared her story because of that so you can understand why she did something against me, she used to tell others things that I have never said like very meany things which I have never thought off like telling everyone bad things about me so that everyone would stay away from me and avoid me. She wanted to keep me away from everyone. Even she wouldn’t bother to talk with me or give me a company. She totally disliked me I don’t know why, I always have been the quite kid in the class I have never done bragging thing about what I have.
I used to listen to others quietly don’t know how could someone turn against me for that. I used to believe those words she said about Promita. As per her saying Promita hates me and she thinks I am showing off how beautiful I am and seeking boys attention I was hurt by this and kept quite.

Beginning of friendship

Okay, one day my mother after our classes finished she knew about the negativity going on between Promita and me. She asked me and her to hug each other and end the negativity. I never said “no” to my mom in public, after that we hugged each other and felt a weight got lighter. We felt a bond between us.
We used to talk a lot on Facebook. I never went to coaching without her we used to inform each other if we are going or not. The bond between us grew stronger. When we had gained trust we share what was bothering our relationship and discovered that Ferdousi was the one making up a fuss about us. Ferdousi used to lie to me about Promita and also did the same thing with Promita she used to lie to Promita about me so that we can never become friends. No sooner had I understood that Ferdousi is jealous of me. Later on I stopped caring about what Ferdousi used to tell me so did Promita.

Days passed and we became best friends, I was so happy that finally I got a best friend who will care about me, who will always stay by side and take a stand for me. I have cherished her in many ways. I used to think of her as my sister. Anyways, she used to stay depressed because of her weight and her mom’s restrictions. Her mom used to taunt her for gaining soo much weight. I used to tell her that she is beautiful the way she is but she could not calm herself my words were not enough. But I was not trying to give her sympathy or just to make her feel good. Whatever, I used to say was true I really meant them from the bottom of my heart. I have always tried to protect her from her mom’s harsh treatment.

Seeing Promita in pain would also cause me to stay sad because she was my best friend. In every matter I used to apologise at first even though it’s not my fault. I have always tried to give her love and care that she deserves. I have done every possible things to make her happy but…….

This is not a made up story this chapter is a part from my life. The distraction didn’t  occur yet more events to come before that.
