Do you know what's more exciting about travels? It is the unplanned ones!

I know some might disagree but that's more exciting because you could get to enjoy every moment and every inch of the place during your stay there. A feww weeks ago, we had this unplanned travel wherein we hiked a little bit, trekked, and swimmed at PNOC2, Minoyan, Murcia of Negros Occidental.

It started with a group project which we have planned to film at my clasmmate's house near the city proper. While we were eating our breakfast, we had came up with an idea of filming at @blip-blop's place, so we contacted and he agreed right away. We get on a bus after we were done eating. Then, when we arrived, we rode a motorcycle to our another classmate's house just a few miles up the mountain.

Just look at these beautiful mountains. I zoomed it in for an up close look

The ambience here was refreshing as we arrived. From the looks of it, I know that we were going to enjoy even though this is unexpected and unplanned. When we were all settled, we went down by the river where we can enter for free. We only planned to eat, unwind, and go sightseeing for a while before we filmed our project. But you'll never know what's next really. Even the planned ones, goes unplanned too.

-Hey there, buddies!

It was a few minutes of walk and turns going down to the river. Then, we were finally there!

We could already hear the water flowing by the rocks downhill, and the children playing who's living nearby. Just the sight of it was cool and relaxing. If only I got more free time that, I would probably take a nap by the river while surrending to the serenity of nature.

We can only eat the food that we have while watching the river flows and feeling soothing that sight to be seen. The place was so cool with fresh air and the water was so cold that we can put our bottled softdrinks on the water to remain cool for a while.

We weren't finished eating our foods, when we were introduced to another side of the river by our friend. He was our tour guide at that time since he lives there and knows the place well. It was a little scary to cross the river with an evident strong current of water but we managed by stepping on big rocks and our friends assisting us to cross at the other end.

Then, we have to walk here in this path made of pointed stones. We took our shoes when we crossed the river, so we were walking bare feet this time. It hurts for sure! Good thing, we got some gentlemen here and they lend their slippers to us ladies. Now, they were the one hurting, not us. Sorry, buddies! ✌️

After all of the suffering from walking the path made of pointed stones, we arrived to such a majestic place. The waters on the river was enticing us and no doubt about that. Without bringing a change of clothes, we jumped off on the water and swimmed until we were satisfied.

The water was so cold! It was like jumping in a tub full of ice cubes. Yet, we were still having fun and trying to swim for a few yards. Our bodies were clearly shaking from the cold temperature of the surroundings but that couldn't stop us from exploring the nature in that place.

IMG_20221104_122010.jpgIMG_20221104_121700.jpg

It's nice to stay longer in the water despite its coldness but we only have a limited time there and we have a lot to explore in that place. Also, that project that was the real agenda of that day. It shouldn't be forgetten.

We climbed to this path walk towards a pin tree. This is the view that we've got! It was nice to stare at it from above but we don't to make our friend suffer from walking this cemented path in his bare feet. It's not nice to be selfish, so we moved on to the pine tree and took a little rest before we go down and finished the food that we left off.

We walked back down to our foods below after few minutes of taking a shade under the pine tree. We didn't really have finished our foods when we got back. We packed it up, and started walking back to our friend's house.

Note that our clothes we all soaking wet here and dripping as we were walking. We don't really care about that, and just continue. We freshen up when we reached the place and keep ourselves hydrated.

Onto the next location!

We were going to a place where we ould see that mountain on my first picture much better. We entered a mini forest of mahogany trees, then have crossed a ricefield for a shortcut towards here. This a forgotten path already since according to my friend, not many people are going herr for now. The path were already covered with sugarcanes and we have placed them aside to free our path.

Now, this is a breathtaking view!

IMG_20221104_153627.jpgIMG_20221104_153900.jpg

The place is supposed to be a Helipad but no longer in use for a long time. People just go here for sightseeing and to unwind. Seeing such like this will surely make your mind at peace, and the experience is worthwhile.

This is the kind of place that I want to live in. Peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and not much neighbors to bother you. The only disadvantage is that it is away from the schools, markets, and hospitals. You can't get there quick if you're in an emergency situation. But if you have a private vehicle to be of your service anytime you want, then why not?

We did a little rehearsal and filmed a dance for our project. We were not that good at it but who to blame? We just made it up on the last minute. Anyway, we went down after that and catch a ride home since there is a scheduled last trip of buses in their place. Aside from that, my journey back home would be more than an hour.

Got drenched clothes and just dried on our bodies, but we still went home with happy faces. We have made a memory which we can't forget and a bond that have gotten stronger. Unplanned, but I guess, in the end, it is the experience that matter most.

I have so many virtual friends who lived in Negros Occidental, how I wish I could go there and visit this kind of beautiful place that you have there.
I really love the vibes of the place, the nature that surrounds it makes it so perfect. :)
