Hardwork Deserves An Iced Brewed Coffee

I think if you are passionate about what you want to be or where you want to go and you work very hard to that goal, it will happen. And, yes, you'll be knocked down and you'll have some tough times. And it won't be easy all the time, but the rewards are pretty amazing, especially if you stay true to yourself.

Once again, I was given an opportunity to impart my knowledge about First Aid and Vital Signs to my fellow students in another school, at STI West Negros University of Bacolod. I was sad at first because we have exams that day and I couldn't prioritize to be their Assistant Instructor, but gladly, we didn't have written exams in our Practicum. It left me 6 hours of vacant that day. You'll never have no time for your passion, that's why I rushed over there to offer my assistance.

This is the scenario when I arrived at the fifth floor of the building, literally catching my breath since the elevator is loaded. I totally shrugged that off and went straight to teaching as soon as my father introduced me to his class. Usually, the criminology students of STI WNU have a specific subject about First Aid, and they are required to take that subject.

On this day, they are having First Aid Seminar and Training, and we are invited here to teach. Although we are from different schools, we have the same Instructors, that's why we are welcome to collaborate. I thought I'll be intimidated since they are all pre-law students, and believe me, those students are giants for a dwarf like me. And there I am, trying to tune up my voice to its extent so they can hear my tiny voice well.

After that those lectures drained my throat, I deserve a reward and an iced brewed coffee is enough!

During lunch, we went at the back of the university because food chains at the front are always full. Here's KDN Grill to serve viands, snacks, and coffee, but it's more famous for it's Batchoy or the pork noodle soup.

Our hungry tummies suggested that we should have a bowl each of Pork Nilaga and rice for lunch, and they added a liter of coke for their drinks, but I'm a coffee person, so I ordered an iced brewed coffee. Then, one of our companion followed me by adding an order of Iced Latte.

I'm with my Head Adviser, Commander, and two juniors who willingly volunteers to join the mission. I'm thrilled to know that they bear the fire we have in our hearts, and continue to deliver our mission and improving the vision I have set first.

This place isn't that crowded as other place, and it's nice to eat here peacefully with the gang. Our orders took a few minutes, so I surveyed the place to take good angles for pictures, of course!

Their place isn't spacious but it's cozy enough to make their customers comfortable, and enjoy their food and drinks. If we don't have to continue teaching after this, I would rather stay for a while.

Surely, it's not easy to do your passion and from someone who is still learning to improve on these aspects, I'm having a hard time doing all these things. At first, I thought I'll give up and can't handle more of this in the future, but here I am, still doing this and facing this head on. When I thought that I can't make my class engaging and my students to be attentive, being true to myself in front of them makes it even easy to build a rapport and keep the class going smoothly.

I think I might have poured out all of my energy to the lecture. I drank almost half of my coffee before I touch my food. Then, we dig in until we finish all the food in the table.

We went back inside after that, and finish the lecture with another class. On the other hand, I also have another class from 5pm to 8pm. I excused myself in gloomy heart for not being with them until the end, but with a beaming face at the same time for I helped another souls.

I was overjoyed after this certificate is handed to me by my father later at night. Honestly, I never expected this since I'm just an assistant instructor and usually, it was only given to the whole organization, but here, each of our efforts are appreciated. It motivates me more to offer my help in any forms that my skill can be of use. If given another chance, I'll willingly extend my assistance again.
