My Simple Ways To Reduce Stress

In my current state right now, stress is my worst enemy. Going to college while worrying how to get by daily and how to pay the bills monthly, and there's also my family in my hometown that seeks help to me everytime they needed it. I'm put in a situation where I can choose to save myself and forget about my loved ones, or bring them with me in my ardous journey for success but striving alone for years. I do have choices where I can get out and be selfish or not, but I choose the latter. Mainly, stress would be my greatest companion in this venture.

My daily routine includes waking up for school, and tend to my side hustles and school assignments at night; this applies to my weekdays, by the way. My weekends focuses on my chores at my dormitory and other errands. If I can have the leisure of time after doing my tasks, I prefer to sleep and rest to regain some energy for the next entire week. Well, to be fair, my routines aren't always like that and there are some exemptions. Just like when my friends invite me to hang out with them and travel to another place to destress. It's the only time where I can forget my problems, anxieties, and stress where I'm often dealing alone at home.

However, not all the time, I can travel or hang out with friends to enjoy and relax, so I also have alternatives on how to relieve stress. It's quite important to me as I have to maintain my sanity all the time. I have gone this far, there's no giving up anymore. A better way to motivate and encourage myself, or a reminder perhaps could be a much better help than giving up midway.

There are three (3) things that I often do when I'm stressed out of everything.

Listening To Music

Music often helps soothing my mood if I'm in a panic state that's everything feels like getting out of my control and I feel helpless. I'm practicing not to sweat stuff that I couldn't handle, but when you are used to take action everytime a problem comes your way, it hits different. Especially in my financials, I know I can do more but my school schedule limits my working scope. When bills knocks on your door at the end of the month, it's surely a headache and you know that you don't have a stable income to pay them all.

"I always know that I can figure it out. I just have to panic first."

When I feel that everything may go down south, I have to find a way to calm down before I call a storm upon myself. Music has been often my first refuge if everytime this happens to me; that's why, I couldn't live without my phone and earbuds. In times like this, I just want to sit in the corner, plugged in my earbuds, listen to my playlist, and think about the my current situation. It works like magic!

Reading Books

Imma a book lover since I was a kid. When all the kids in town likes to be outside, I prefer my books than friends. It makes me happier to enrich my mind with new sets of imageries, stories, and vocabularies. It's my greatest happiness to have a book. It's why, it often helps in reducing stress.

I don't know why but there's something about the smell of each pages and the sound it makes everytime I flip that's kinda oddly satisfying and addictive. It feels good after reading for a few a minutes.

Sleep, sleep, and sleep

When all else fails, just sleep.

I'm dysfunctional when my anxieties were triggered under stress. It's better to sleep than to do something stupid in the future. When you don't what to do, take a nap and you can think much better after you have woken up. It feels much better after you have taken rest.

Those were the things that I usually do to relieve stress. In this life where I shouldn't give up no matter what, it's best to know the immediate remedies that can relieve something that can hinder your progress.

You are awesome wotg the things you do. It is not an easy task going to school and doing side hustles as well. However, you've found ways to take care of your stress with listening to music, which I agree with 100% because I do it as well.

Also, reading and sleeping is superb and helps relieve stress.

Not an easy task to manage indeed. I got discouraged sometimes, but after some rest, I just can get back on track.

You are doing great Ayane-tan, it's hard but you are surviving everyday. Just keep going even with those hurdles, you'll surely gain and learn a lot by doing so and it can make you brave and strong too. Fightuuuuu!!

Anyways, listening to music and sleeping is the best remedy for stress. That's effective to me too, even though it has short time effect, still, it's much better than nothing, uwu.

Stress is something that I can’t deal with. My calmness comes from good music with great dance feats. Which puts me in a cooler frame of mind then I dance for a bit. Rarely when I’m working I have to have iced teas to be productive. 🤤✨
