The Best Thing in Summer is Mangoes 🥭🥭🥭

It's almost the end of summer, so here we are going back to our hometown. The babygurl will be back in school in a few days. She needs to report at school prior to the start of the school year for Brigada Eskwela and enrollment.

At this time, the sun was still scorching hot early in the morning, and no signs of downpour even if it's cloudy in the afternoon, even drizzles was hard to come by. However, cloudy skies only means it's the hint of a start of the rainy season ahead.

Instead of complaining with this hot weather, we're enjoying it while it last since we're more hoping for the rainy season so start as soon as possible. Our crops will be in a complete disaster if doesn't come sooner. You already know what's next if that's happen —shortage of harvest, less food supply until it drops to crisis of famine.

If you could see, a lot of yellowish stalks appears on the fields. And if you could only see the state of the sugarcanes here, which I forgot to snap a photo, it's far worse than the rice paddies here. The leaves we're almost dried up by the heat during the entire summer. You can just consider it lucky if those survives until the rainy season.

Going back, here in our home, the best thing that we're often looking forward with is the mangoes and other fruit-bearing trees. Mostly, what we have during summer is the mangoes. Note, all kinds of mangoes bear fruits at this time. They ripen at the same time, too.

Some of our Mango trees have fallen down last typhoon but you know what, it still bear fruits since it is still living even if it was uprooted. Good thing it is planted near our water source.

We're happy as well since this time one of our Mango tree bear a lot of fruits, and this type is the one that you can see at the market. It's sweet and big, unlike the other tree that we have. It's still young, so we could just pick it's fruit while standing. Just don't mind my model up there, lol.

Challenges has rewards and sacrifices. This time it affected our some of our crops, but we gained another harvest. We know it's not forever, we will not lose hope. It's just a little bit late but it will come soon. Before it did, we already prepared our fertilizers bags, ready to go anytime so when the rain comes, it will absorb in the soil right away when we shower it to the crops.
