Workplace Party at Club-K

This happened recently.

I'm really not that excited when I heard it's a party. Not just a party, there's a theme as well so we gonna have to wear a costume related to Wild West. I guess, it's a trend at that time, I'm seeing it everywhere and even our college held the Senior's Night with this theme this year.

I'm not fond of these things since I have limited social battery and don't like to stand out at the crowd. The last thing I wanted from this type of event is catching people's attention. If I wanna party, I would like to enjoy it peacefully in my own way without the loud announcement.

Party at the club only means that there's gonna drinks with liquor, of course. A great timing since it was my rest day, I don't need to hold back but I just need to be sober enough to go home. I'm just glad my friend have a car to sent me home at that night.

This party was only meant for our department. People coming weren't that much and some of the employees still had work right after the event, so they maybe went straight to the company or just swinging by late. Anyway, the party commenced at the right time since the place was paid and clients were waiting.

This is me and my colleague. We were pulled up at the stage to pose for photos before the program started. We're too shy at first but gave in after a few persuasions, there's no harm anyway but just me posing awkwardly while watching the crowd in front. And yeah, this is exactly why I don't like attention.

I didn't had a cowboy hat with me and my outfit isn't even that fit for the party theme. I didn't care, though. I came there for the fun and I knew not everyone would follow the theme with all out efforts, some weren't even dressed accordingly but still came by to be a part of the fun.

I got that cowboy hat from a friend since he's busy socializing around, he left it with me. He is my exact opposite —a social butterfly. The one with high confidence and neverending energy. You'll be worried if you sees him down.

In a while, as the program commenced, there were series of recognitions and awards. There's prices for people with best outfits and raffles, too. After that, foods and drinks cam, that's where the real fun began.

Midway to those performances after the program, we almost finished our drink tower already. My colleague here went to the other table, grab theirs and placed it on us. He took it since they're not drinking it anyway. One tower after another until the Director gave us her case of Light Beer bottles.

This is the sole purpose of having a venue in a club, you know. You drink until you drop, but if course, I don't have a company here with me, so I still managed my liquor. Though my friend would drop me off home, it would still be embarrassing if I'm blacked out and starts vomiting everywhere right after, just being a responsible adult in front of temptations.
