Hello everyone!

Today we are going to paint the famous painting of the little boat that the Simpsons have in the living room, the one we always see behind them when they sit on the couch to watch TV.

I painted it for the first time to give it as a gift to @recarvajalp but finally, other friends of his told him that they wanted to have the same painting so I ended up painting three more, trying to make them as similar as possible.

I was surprised to know that someone would pay for what I had painted, it was the first time I was asked the price for one of my paintings since up to this point I had been painting as a hobby. So it was hard for me to put a price on it.

History of the painting in The Simpsons series.

In the episode "Mission Deductible" Homer is doing his taxes at the last minute. In his haste he starts miscounting his family members, making things up, and as "work gifts" Homer picks up the painting behind the couch and gives it to Marge, to which she replies, "Homer, I painted this for you." Homer rushes off to deliver his statement and Marge puts the painting back in its place, saying "You were very talented, my friend..."

With the help of a ruler, we draw a horizontal line that will be the sea, and leaving 7cm of margin, we will begin to draw the lower part of the boat. Then we add the sails also to the sides of the mast, remembering that both are formed by two triangles that are not uniform, but unequal.

Add a couple of clouds before starting to color it:

For the sea I used cerulean blue, for the sky I mixed sky blue with white, clouds and sails of the ship in white and the lower part next to the mast in tan sienna (here I used oil paint, because I don't have this color in acrylic). I also went over the lines with the black marker.
