Water; what can we do without it, can we live life without it??

I mean what is life without water? What can we do without water? I was listening to my mom this morning when she said there was no water in the tank again and my sister should go and pump it, without water we can't cook, eat, bath or wash cloth or even drink, we would have been dead by now without water.

During that last semester, it was dry season and our well in the hostel wasn't having enough water too,it was difficult, we started managing water, the most painful part is we do wake up as early as 3am and still not see enough water to draw out of the well because some people would have woken up before then and fetch the water, anybody who wakes up in the morning to come and fetch water there will have to go outside the compound to fetch water at other hostels.

It was a outside school hostel so it wasn't just for female alone but also for male too, sometimes when you fetch water and you don't lock it inside your room before you even say jack Robinson!! Your water would have disappeared, it's always painful, most times it's always the guys that do steal other people's water.

After that period,I left for another house that has enough water even during dry season,I hate looking for water up and down, sometimes some of my hostel mate will be begging for one bowl of water to cook indomie, just one bowl,it would have been awful if there was no water at all to cook.

I have come to a conclusion that we can't live this life without water,we drink water after eating or whenever we are thirsty, when we want to take our bath, when we want to use the toilet, when we want to wash our clothes, hair, personal things, dishes and all. We use water for virtually everything in this life.

So what can we do without water? Nothing, absolutely nothing.

Can you share with us the times you've needed water so badly and there was shortage of water...

Thanks for reading up till this stage.

You made a post with a great topic. I live in Italy and the problem of drought, this year, also occurred in Italy. I believe we will have to fight against this enemy in the next 10 years.

Hi @ayomike. You raised a good question and as you’ve already stated, it would be almost impossible to live without it. Water is an essential part of our lives and it’s sad you all have to fight to keep it so much let alone wait for it to be enough available. I pray conditions change soon for the better.

For future reference this type of post would be a good fit for the Rant, Complain, Talk Community. You can say what’s on your mind there, complain about conditions and ask these types of questions.

The OCD Community is for general post topics that do not fit in any of the other listed communities.

Thanks for sharing this, water is the basic necessity of life without it will our life will be in jeorpady. We can't live without water and it's the reason we embarked on Hive empowering communities project that has been providing boreholes to communities that have experienced severe water crisis.
