Octopus fishing began.

Hello hivers, I tell you, in the community of Puerto Fermin, popularly known as "El Tirano",Margarita island, Venezuela, where I have lived for almost 18 years, began this week the fishing season for octopus, a highly prized mollusk, is in the months of July and August where it abounds although this season extends until December. The fishermen and their families always look forward to this date because the sale of this mollusk allows them to save money to support themselves in the following months when the rainy season (since September), tropical storms and other natural events always make themselves felt so fishing is limited.

The joy is overflowing and although the price is not what is expected by these (less than $ 1 per kilo, 0.90) because they argue it does not cover the cost of fishing tools, gasoline that is limited and the time they invest in it the truth is that the community has been blessed with abundant fishing and I was impressed to see so many octopuses, people crowded to buy or ask an acquaintance, I was given one, the truth was happy for this, they are very tasty with lemon, stewed also with arepa.

The sea, always impetuous, also offers its fruits, the nice thing is that people from other communities come to this fishing port, families benefit and enjoy this fishing season, "if it rains like this, don't let it rain".
