Monomad Challenge -Don't Worry: With Smartphone You Can Be A Professional Photographer

Hi HIVER'S
Hello everyone, how are you
I'm back with a black and white photo, this is my entry for the #monomad
On this occasion, I would like to share a story about the tools I used when photographing Buddhist activities celebrating Chinese New Year at Vihara Dharma Bakti, better known as the Petak Sembilan pagoda in the Glodok area, West Jakarta.

20200125_003543-01-01.jpeg

In this hunt I purposely didn't take my Canon 5D Mark IV or Sony A7 II with me. I will only use the Samsung S9+ Smartphone Camera.

Departed alone from my residence in the Slipi area, West Jakarta, to the Petak Sembilan Temple. When I arrived at the monastery, many people had already filled the temple and many photographers were on standby there. Generally, these photographers use professional DSLR cameras and mirrorless cameras from various brands.
for me whatever camera they use it is just a tool.
I don't care about that, basically I have to try to get the best moment.
while in the monastery without disturbing my worship activities, I can take candid photos and other objects such as statues of gods, candles, incense, praying people, lanterns, details of the interior of the temple, burning stoves and activities around the temple.

Without us realizing it, smartphones can also produce the best photos by getting moments and compositions.
Here I want to convey to hiver friends who have a hobby of photography, to be a photographer you don't have to have a camera with an expensive price.
Needless to say, below are photos I took with the Samsung S9+ smartphone.
I hope you are inspired by this short story from my experience.
Thank you.

Great pictures, @azwar.ipank! 😁 Can't believe you made these shots with a smartphone and the final result is just WOW! Can you please share the settings you used, since I would like to experiment with my Galaxy Note 9? Thank you in advance.🙏

@vedarg I do this by looking at the light conditions around the object that I want to photograph. the auto menu then then I play the light button can be with high light or low light. occasionally I try with the photo pro menu on the S9 + smartphone.
the last process is to make a black and white photo that looks dramatic

@owdtwobad
I had to wait for the right time to photograph that moment by paying attention to the light.
