Monomad Challenge- The Unique Gayo Green Tobacco Making Process
Hello Hiver
Hello everyone, how are you
I'm back with a black and white photo of me that you might like and this is my entry for #monomad
On this occasion I would like to share my experience making photos of the activities of green tobacco farmers.
Gayo is an area in the highlands famous for its Arabica coffee.
Currently, a number of tobacco farmers there are starting to preserve the green gayo tobacco cultivation again.
green tobacco manufacturing process
This is very unique, it is still done traditionally without using technology, as was done by one of the families in the village of Seni Antara, Bener Meriah.
Previously harvested tobacco leaves will be ripened for 4 days.
After that, the process of sorting and separating the leaves is carried out.
When all stages are carried out, the tobacco leaves are rolled up and carried out by extension or finely sliced using a knife.
Several women were seen picking up chopped mangrove leaves and arranging them on top of ancak.
Ancak is a container for drying tobacco leaves made from a series of bamboo.
This mangrove leaf drying process uses sunlight with a predetermined time.
