Monomad Challenge-Traditional Sand Miner in River
Hello hiver
Hello everyone, how are you
I'm back with a black and white photo of me that you might like and this is my entry #monomad
In my post this time is about portraits of the activities of labor workers
traditional sand miners in the river located in Kuta Blang sub-district, Biruen Regency, Aceh Province.
Sand mining activities in rivers have become an activity that is often found on riverbanks in Aceh.
Residents around the riverbanks make a living by working as laborers in sand miners.
By using a boat and done in the traditional way.
When I met them, they saw sand miners dredging sand from the riverbed, then hauling the dredged sand using makeshift tools intoboats.
While other workers wait by the river to unload sand from boats to be transported into waiting sand trucks.
As for the price of sand, usually river sand mining workers will sell it at prices ranging from 40 thousand rupiah to 70 thousand rupiah per boat.
Labor in this traditional sand mining is not a choice, but because of the pressure of economic conditions that make them do the job.
