A little gift for myself

A couple of days ago, it was Valentine's Day and I was thinking of the perfect gift to get myself (something I have found myself doing whether I receive a gift or not). But then I couldn't think of anything. I tend to prefer gifts that'll last in the mind (both giving and receiving), whether it be experiences or things. Since I didn't have the time and the money for an experience I decided to get myself something symbolic. But I wasn't so sure what it'd be. What I'd get myself wasn't so much on my mind as I was also planning something for some of my loved ones, but then I was scrolling through WhatsApp when this nicely customized PC caught my attention and I decided I needed to get myself one of those. It would be the perfect gift for me because each time I look at my PC I will smile, and I look at my PC a lot.

Then there was the design, I needed something that resonated with me. I am an engineering student and a Hiver so I decided I'd find a way to integrate those two into whatever design I was going to go for. I searched and searched for a beautiful design that integrated the two, but it was difficult to find one. Luckily I remembered we have a very talented graphic designer here on Hive and that was when I scoured through @doze's works. Sure enough, I found the perfect design. Thanks for all you Doze (setting you as a beneficiary on this one). I contacted the guy who does the wraps he was able to whip up this bad boy. It's a simple design, but I like the fact that it integrates two key parts of my life at the moment.

Some of the money for the laptop was gotten from this platform so it's only fair that It has a hive logo on it. And now when I bring out my PC people ask me "What logo is that?" and I tell them it is Hive. And at times I end up telling them about Hive. You have no idea how many times that has happened to me in this short period of time. It's a cool way to promote hive and I just personally love the aesthetics so It is a win-win situation. Anyway, here are some pics of my PC I took. Enjoy :)

This is a bad ass job indeed. I love everything about the design. It's great how you incorporated hive logo into it. You are doing the hivegenlism the easy way. Now let's watch you onboard more users.

Quiet thoughtful of you to get yourself a gift. Self love is the best kind of love.

This is so pretty and thank you for this inspiration
I need to give my laptop a makeover soon and this is perfect
It’s also a very smart way to promote hive
You wouldn’t even have to initiate the conversation anymore, they’ll rather ask the meaning of the symbol on your laptop and you’ll tell them.

Woah. This is really sweet, man. Very effortless way to get people curious about Hive. I'd like one for myself. Where'd you find such design on his profile?

Nah, I found the design on @doze's profile. Then I sent it to this guy that does it. Luckily he's a student in my school.
