Finding that balance

I try my best not to write about my school experiences, but then it tends to seep into my writing some of the time, so I end up writing about it once in a while. Today is one of those times I guess.

I'm so sure most of you won't have noticed but then if you check my profile you'll see that it has been a full week since I last wrote a post on the hive blockchain. Academic pressure has increased these last few days and it has gotten so hard to keep up with everything so I paused a bit last week.

The life of a student is never easy, especially when they get to college. In those years they are already an adult and there are a lot more responsibilities on their shoulders. In high school and the earlier years, you are mostly under your parents and all you have to do is focus and learn what you are being taught. But then in college, you have to learn to take care of yourself financially, you need to learn to build your skills because you know a degree won't be enough to guarantee success, you need to network and build connections, you need to do so many things while also getting good grades, and it is never easy. We have some students who are able to make money and build skills, connections and all, but then end up with terrible grades, and then we have some who have outstanding grades but still struggle afterwards because at the end of the day that is all that they have. No skill, no connections. A good degree shows a work ethic and the ability to memorize. The real deal is to be on top of everything. Having a good degree while also having skills, connection and providing value, you are destined to succeed.

I have been trying super hard to find the right balance and to be on top of everything, and I must admit it is nowhere near easy. When I think I am finally getting the hang of things then I realize I am losing ground elsewhere and then I have to reposition myself and adjust. Some things then have to suffer for some time until I am able to recover and find the right balance. That's how I have been doing for a while now and it is been sufficient so far, I am constantly looking for ways to improve my productivity, but for now, we move.
