Hi guys. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. Because I'm in a good mood. Now, when I look at my photo, which I will publish shortly, I realize that I look very nervous and restless. Merhaba arkadaşlar. Umarım herkesin keyfi yerindedir. Zira benim keyfim gayet yerinde. Şimdi birazdan yayınlayacağım fotoğrafıma baktığımda çok gergin ve huzursuz göründüğümü fark ettim. Fakat öyle değilim, bu görünüş benim için doğum lekesi gibi durum. Yüzüme yayılmış olan nefret ifadesini bir türlü atamıyorum. :)) Onun için fotoğrafa bakıp da keyfimin yerinde olmadığını düşünmeyin.

Today I will tell you about the historical windmills in Çeşme Alaçatı. In a previous post, I mentioned that Çeşme is very windy. Especially in winter, there is a strong wind that almost blows people away, and in summer, there is a remarkable cooling wind at night. That's why a lot of weather vane has been planted by the authorities. Besides, it was naturally windy in the past, so there are historical windmills in Alaçatı.

Bugün size Çeşme Alaçatıda bulunan tarihi yel değirmenlerinden bahsedeceğim. Daha önce bir paylaşımımda Çeşme’nin çok rüzgârlı olduğundan bahsetmiştim. Özellikle kış aylarında neredeyse insanı uçurucak kuvvette, yaz aylarında ise geceleri kayda değer serinleticilikte rüzgar olur. Bu yüzden de yetkililer tarafından bir sürü rüzgar gülü dikilmiş. Bunun yanında, doğal olarak çok eskiden de rüzgarlı imiş ki Alaçatıda tarihi yel değirmenleri var.

These mills, known as Alaçatı Mills, have an old and nostalgic look. Perhaps these are the windmills that Don Quixote is said to have attacked. :)) The location of the mills is very central. At the entrance of Alaçatı bazaar, you can see them when you climb a short slope and reach the flat at the end of the slope. There are 4 historical mills here.

Alaçatı Değirmenleri diye bilinen bu değirmenler, eski ve nostaljik bir görünüme sahipler. Belki de Don Kişot’un saldırdığı bahsedilen yel değirmenleri bunlardır. :)) Değirmenlerin yeri çok merkezi. Alaçatı çarşının hemen girişinde, kısa bir yokuşu çıkıp, yokuşun sonundaki düzlüğe ulaştığınızda bunları görebilirsiniz. Burada 4 tane tarihi değirmen var.

Of course, these mills are not active today. I don't know who did this, but although it is in a position where very good investments can be made commercially, it has not demolished and preserved these values that reflect the historical values and Çeşme. They did very well. There is no fee to enter here. It's like a park with windmills in the middle. You can sit on the benches placed by the municipality, as well as sit down to eat and drink at the businesses around and inside. Since it is a bit high in terms of location and a windmill has already been built, it has a nice breezy air as it can be logically thought.

Bugün tabii ki bu değirmenler aktif değil. Bunu kim yaptı bilmiyorum ama ticari olarak çok güzel yatırımlar yapılabilecek bir konumda olmasına rağmen, yıkmayıp, tarihi değerleri ve Çeşmeyi yansıtan bu değerleri korumuş. Çok da iyi yapmışlar. Buraya girmek ücretli de değil. Ortasında yel değirmenlerinin de olduğu bir park gibi. Etrafında ve içerisinde bulunan işletmelere bir şeyler yiyip içmek için oturabileceğiniz gibi belediye tarafından yerleştirilmiş banklara da oturabilirsiniz. Konum itibariyle birazcık da olsa yüksek olduğu ve zaten yel değirmeni yapıldığına göre mantıken düşünüleceği gibi esintili güzel bir havası var.

I couldn't sit down because I didn't have much time. But if you go - which I highly recommend - you should spare at least half an hour and sit on the benches for a while and enjoy this beautiful environment. From here, you can see a part of Alaçatı Bazaar, where you can get distracted while watching the historical buildings, colorful businesses and the cosmopolitan crowd walking on its narrow streets. That's all I have to say about this little area. I wish everyone happiness and peace…

Çok vaktim olmadığı için ben oturamadım. Fakat olur da giderseniz - ki bunu kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum - en azından yarım saatinizi ayırıp, banklarda bir süre oturup bu güzel ortamın tadını çıkarmalısınız. Buradan tarihi binaları, renkli işletmeleri ve dar sokaklarında yürüyüş yapan kozmopolit kalabalığıyla izlerken dalıp gideceğiniz Alaçatı Çarşı’nın da bir kısmı görünüyor. Bu küçük alanla ilgili anlatacaklarım bu kadar. Herkese mutluluk ve huzur diliyorum…
